Put on a Chic face

Escada S/S 2013 : Kendra Spears by Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer. This is a nice campaign. Colours are nice, clothes are nice, the background is nice, ...but there is something off. I read other people's opinion on forums and websites and they think the same. I sort of feel like Kendra is not the right model for this kind of campaign. But I have to admit is a nice one, very summery. Es una bonita campaña. Los colores son bonitos, la ropa es bonita, el fondo es bonito,... pero hay algo que no funciona. He leído la opinión de otra gente en forums y webs y piensan lo mismo. Me parece que Kendra no es la modelo correcta para este tipo de campaña. Pero admito que es bonita, muy veraniega.   Sportmax S/S 2013 : Laura Kampman. Beautiful shots. But it doesn't look like a campaign. The first time I saw them I thought it was a nice editorial from a magazine. That's the problem. But the pictures are really beautiful.

2012 was a great year for Anne V. (Prada campaign; covers for Numero, Vogue, Elle, etc...) and it looks like 2013 is going to be good too. I'm really happy because I think Anne is too underrated. Probably because a lot of people knew her as "girlfriend of" but she's been modelling since she was really young and has achieved great things. She got her Chanel Chance contract when she was 16, and she keeps renewing it. And, even though her runway career has not been that great, she has walked for big brands like Prada, JPG, etc...and she has featured in campaigns for Louis Vuitton, DKNY, Revlon, Chloé, Ralph Lauren, Sportmax, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, ...not bad, right? That's why I'm really happy she's not a "girlfriend of" anymore, and now that she's not, she gets something like a Prada campaign. She can be classic, but also sexy. Michael Kors S/S 2013：Karmen Pedaru & Simon Nessman by Mario Testino. I love Karmen, and I think her print work is getting better, but this MK campaigns are hideous. They need to get rid of Testino because every single campaign looks the same. It's not like the collections are stunning and he destroys that, but I don't know, he makes Karmen look that bad that I can't handle it. I feel like MK's target is not interesed on fashion at all, but on wearing something from a designer so they can say "oh look! I'm wearing something from a designer". And maybe is because of that reason that he creates all the time this plastic/Hollywoodish atmosphere. But for the ones who really care about fashion, like me, his campaigns are a complete mess. I'm just happy he likes Karmen because, considering his brand is getting more commercial every single day, I bet she's getting a lot of money for those campaigns, and I'm always glad when my favourite mode
