Taylor Hill & Romee Strijd for MICHAEL Michael Kors

There are days that are hard to forget, and the day this campaign was shot here in London is one of them. That morning one of the players from my team retired at the age of 25 because he wanted to focus on studying. He and I have something in common...we get the comment "too smart for sports" often.  Strange day that one... But, neither Taylor nor Romee cared much about that. I'll get them intro cricket, promise 😛 They were too worried making this gorgeous campaign for Michael Kors' second line. They have been the face of the brand for a couple of seasons, and they are just perfect for it. They are perfect, period. Their friendship is lovely and they also make a great team when it comes to being photographed together. More, please! Chanel Mademoiselle Dreams Summer 2017: Vittoria Ceretti

Chanel beauty has created a new limited edition collection for this summer, and it is very pink.  They've got some lovely lipsticks and nail polishes with exclusive shades, which always makes us want it more. I haven't tried any of the products, but if they are as lovely as the Chanel beauty products that I already own, they'll be worth the money. I'll definetely check it out when it is release in the UK. Consiste en varios pintalabios y varios esmaltes de uñas con unos tonos exclusivos, lo cual siempre hace que lo queramos aún más. No he probado los productos, pero si son tan buenos como los que ya tengo de Chanel, valdrá la pena rascarse el bolsillo un poco. Sin duda le echaré un vistazo cuando llegue a Reino Unido. ¿Vosotros?

Grace Elizabeth by Steven Meisel It was a year ago that we all fell in love again with VI because of their gorgeous cover with Vittoria Ceretti. A year later, they've done it again. Meisel has done it again. Italian Vogue is one of the most influencial fashion magazines, if not the most influencial. However, they've had a couple of rough years for different reasons. A couple of months ago, Franca, their EIC, died and a new era began for the magazine.  According to what we have seen on this issue, the first 4 issues under the new EIC were not part of that era. This is chapter number 1. I'm really curious to see which direction they are taking. But, despite being a new era, Meisel has produced a very classic VI cover and editorial. He's just brilliant when he does this, and can make any model look like the biggest supermodel on earth. You all should know I adore Grace Elizabeth, and I'm glad Meisel feels the same way. Now that Ricardo left Givenchy, I was wondering what was going to happen with the brand. Clare is a designer that I loved for Chloé but, what about Givenchy? Those two brands couldn't be more different.  This campaign shows that the brand will still have that dark vibe it had before. But the question is: for how long?  Only time will tell. But the reason why I wanted to talk about this is to show you this picture of Meghan Roche, a model I didn't know about until she appeared on this campaign. And something strange happened when I saw this picture, because I just fell in love and that doesn't happen often. Then I wondered if it was just the Meisel effect, and by looking at her instagram...I think it was that. Is she going to be able to produce another shot like that one without Meisel's magic? Welcome to another episode of "Models and their youtube channels". I can't get enough of these... The last one to join the party was Romee Strijd, who you know is one of my favourites. And so far she only has one vlog up, but I loved it. It was a very honest portrait of what a model does. Healthy eating, sport, the importance of social media, ...I love that. Romee obviously has a great job and she can show us amazing places and tips on how to stay in our best shape. Looking forward to more videos!! Gigi Hadid & Zayn for US Vogue August 2017

Inez & Vinoodh Well, I never thought I'll be writing about Zayn on my blog. Funny life this one. But, I like this cover and I wanted to talk about it. Out of the 3 that Gigi has done for US Vogue in the last 12 months (yes, crazy!), this is the best. Zayn and her brother are props.  I know there has been a lot of drama with the whole gender fluid thing but, if you look past that, you'll see Gigi looks phenomenal. Nunca pensé que hablaría de Zayn en mi blog. Que vida esta... Pero me gusta esta portada y quiero hablar de ella. De las 3 que Gigi ha hecho para US Vogue en los últimos 12 meses (lo se, ¡es una locura!), esta es la mejor. Zayn y su hermano son decoración. Se que ha habido mucho drama con el tema del gender fluid pero, olvidando eso, Gigi sale increíble.

Same as last year, I'm trying something different for the campaigns. And that something different is just posting the ones that catch my eye when they do. Because if I wait, I end up forgetting about them. At the end of the season I'll do another post with the models who got the most campaigns. Last season it was Kiki Willems...who will rule this season? Spoiler alert: it won't be Irina. Though she surprised us with this Blumarine campaign that I love. It was her first job after having a baby, and it actually might be her best.  She is just perfect for Blumarine, and that shows. There is glamour, it's sexy, ...that's Blumarine. The fashion industry is so bizarre that it is the only one where being too good can be bad. And in this case I mean being too pretty. Many of you may think that in the fashion world there isn't such a thing as "too pretty", because models should have the kind of beauty we don't see often. But the problem comes when designers just ask for blank canvases they can work with, not too pretty girls whose beauty will take all the attention. They want us focusing on the clothes.  When I mention this, most people say: "But, what about the instamodels?" Well, they do distracts us but at the same time they get a lot of exposure for the brand. They always dress them on the outfits they want everyone to notice, because they know those pictures will be everywhere. DKNY "Nectar Love" fragance, Vanessa Axente

(Video source: Vanessa's IG account) If you have been following me for a while, you'll know I used to be obsessed with Vanessa. Then her career became too hard for me to understand, but I still follow her. Lately, she's been getting some good perfume contracts for brands like JPG and DKNY. She's the new face of their classic "Be Delicious" and also the face of this new fragance called "Nectar Love". I tried to contact the DK press department to get information about the perfume and the new campaigns, so I could share it with you. However, once again they have been the worst press department I had to work with. Oh well...I still like this new campaign. I don't know if there will be a new print image for the "Be Delicious" ad or if they are going to have a tv commercial for this new perfume. But I'll share with you as much as I know.
