Lui November 2014: Alessandra Ambrosio by Liz Collins

Imagen
I was very surprised when I saw this cover. I know Alessandra is a Victoria's Secret angel, but that doesn't mean she does nude photoshots that often. Or, she doesn't do very explicit ones. You can see some eds Candice or Adriana did, and they are really explicit. However, Alessandra has never done that kind of work. And this Lui ed proves that theory. For those who don't know, Lui is known as the Playboy for HF models. It contains nudity, but it only features HF models (and Rihanna). This ed, however, is the only one I've seen where the model is naked but doesn't show it all. It's kind of weird, since the magazine is known for those nude shots, but I like it. I've always thought that this kind of "teasing" is way sexier than a plain shot where you can see everything. But that's just my opinion. The ed is really cool. I like the strong poses, and the tie. I'll explain this to all of you who doesn't speak french. On the co

Hugh Lippe's Short Film "American Blonde": Anna Ewers for W Magazine

Imagen
I love it when magazines create this kind of films. They use models, instead of actresses, and most of them are really cool. I remember one with Edita that was really interesting. This time W magazine chose another models for this film. I've talked about Anna Ewers in the past, because she's one of my new favourites. She's pretty, but also special. Her personality is what I like the most. It doesn't matter if she's shorter than the others, because her presence is really strong. Anna has a very sexy personality, even when she's not trying, and they used that for this video. She's amazing on it.

Book review: Unethical by Jennifer Blackwood

So, today I'm doing something different. I know this is a fashion blog, and you'll get a fashion post next Tuesday. But today I want to do a book review. Without fashion shows and campaigns, things get a little repetitive. If you have any requests, or you want me to talk about something in particular, let me know. It'll appreciate it. I'm a bookworm and I spend a lot of time reading. So this is an important part of my life. It's not as important as fashion, but just a few things are. A couple of days ago I read this book called Unethical, by Jennifer Blackwood. And when I finished reading it,  I was surprised with the way it ended. It ends with a message that says that you'll get some extra chapters if you write a review. And I thought that was pretty cool. This is Jennifer's debut novel, and this is a great way to get feedback. People give her their opinions, and they get something in return. I thought about writing my review on Goodreads, b

Well, hello there! I wasn't supposed to have a new post today, but I was nominated yesterday for the Liebster Award and I decided to do it today. I saw an editorial in Vogue Paris with a similar name, and I thought it wo

Nike Women x Pedro Lourenço ( with Karlie Kloss)

Imagen
I'm not sure if I've said this before, but I'm obsessed with sports clothing. I can't watch a tennis match, for example, without feeling like I should buy what the players are wearing. I try not to buy more sporty clothes, because I don't need them...but then I have to see this campaign and deal with the anxiety that it's making me feel. Kidding....wait, am I kidding? Because I'm really anxious xD But yeah, my point is that two of my favourite things in the world are together in this campaign: sports clothing and fashion. That's why I wanted to show you the collection Pedro Lourenço has created for Nike. It's really cool and pretty. And if you look at the outfits, you can see they're super wearable. You may think that a HF designer is likely to create something more strange and that doesn't allow you to practice sports properly, but it's not the case. This collection is easy to wear and comfy. To be honest, sports clothes are su

UK Vogue November 2014: Victoria's Secret angels by Patrick Demarchelier

Imagen
Close to heaven Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Elsa Hosk, Lais Ribeiro & Lily Aldridge by Patrick Demarchelier I bet most of you know the VSFS is going to be filmed in London this year. That's why UK Vogue decided to do an editorial with some of the angels. The idea for the ed is really good. The result...not so much. I love how they decided to make the angels wear HC pieces. It's a good way to show that, even if they are famous for posing on lingerie, they can also wear HC gowns and look stunning. The problem is they don't seem to be too versatile, and the photos look like a fail. It surprises me they didn't used Karlie for this editorial, since she's the perfect example of a model who can do sexy and elegant ( VS/commercial stuff and HF ) without struggling. Alessandra is the only one who doesn't look out of place. And you can see that VS uses Candice and Adriana all the time, but the people who run UK Vogue decided to

Moroccanoil "Inspired by Women" event: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing Versus by Anthony Vaccarello

Imagen
Rosie is known for many things, and one of those things is her amazing style. This look can be used as an example. You may know I'm not Vaccarello's biggest fan, but I enjoyed his first collection for Versus. Both Versus and Vaccarello design sexy clothes for sexy women, and Rosie is sexy as hell. A lot of models and celebs have been wearing Versus lately, to support the designer I guess, and Rosie is one of them. She's probably the one that really pulls it off. It looks sexy, as it should, but also classy. Also, the hair and make-up choice is great for this kind of outfit.

Glamour France November 2014: Aneta Pajak by Quentin de Briey

Imagen
I've never been a new faces fan. I used to need a couple of seasons to recognize a model and to become a fan. Now it's easier for me to recognize new faces, and there are I few ones I like. But something different happened with Aneta. I knew who she was before she made her debut on the runway, and that's weird. I don't even remember how, but I saw her polaroids a couple of months ago. I thought she was really pretty, so I checked her portofolio. And then I kind of forgot about her. There was no new work for her (that I was aware of), until the big moment. She walked for Gucci as an exclusive in Milan. Once the shows were over, we also found out she's on the Gucci Cruise campaign. After walking for Gucci, she did a couple of shows in Paris. And it was then when I realised why I liked her so much....she's Edita's little sister! =O Kidding, but they really look like sisters. Edita is gorgeous, and so is Aneta. I can't wait to see how her career co

Blanca Padilla: new face from Spain

Imagen
Blanca Padilla (Next Management) During the last HC season, a new model debuted on the international runways. She caught my attention because of her name. When I read it I wondered whether she was a Spaniard or a model from center/south America. She is from Madrid, Spain. She walked two shows in Paris: Elie Saab HC and Valentino HC. And that's when I suscribed to her thread on TFS. I kind of forgot about her until the NY shows began. If you read my first review of NYFW, you already know how I reacted when I saw her opening BCBG (  http://putonachicface.blogspot.com.es/2014/09/new-york-fashion-week-spring-summer_4.html  ). That was when I realised how pretty she was. She photographs nicely, but she's even prettier in motion. Also, her walk is really good, specially for a new girl. She has quite a captivating look, and that's why I wanted to write an entire post about her and her season. I hope you like it. Durante la temporada pasada de Alta Costura, una nueva
