"My Burberry Blush", Lily James by Mario Testino

Imagen
I rarely talk about fragances that are part of a collection I've already talked about but...I can't say no when you're this cute, Burberry! If there is a brand that knows how to market things, that is Burberry. Something as simple as a perfume sample comes in a gorgeous packaging that makes you fall in love with it. And that is why I'm taking about this perfume today. I'm a massive fan of the original "My Burberry" scent, and it is actually my cricket scent, which says a lot about how much I love it. And I also loved the "My Burberry Black", although not as much as the original. This new "blush" version is very different from the previous two, which I like since the first two scents were lovely but a bit too similar. They literally describe it as a "fruity floral with a sparkling twist". And that got me interested, because I do love floral scents and I don't dislike fruity ones.  The notes are: glazed pome

Queen of the campaign season (Part 2): Kiki Willems

And the queen of the campaign season is....Kiki Willems!! Again! Very proud fan. Some of you may argue that Faretta had a better season despite scoring less campaigns. She had more OG campaigns but, what I value the most here is the fact that Kiki has been on this level for longer than other girls like Faretta or Vitto. Season after season, she keeps on working with the same professionals and scoring big campaigns. This is like her 4th time getting the Marc Jacobs campaign. That's huge. It really shows how hard she works, and how talented she is. Not all campaigns are out, so she might get another CK line but, at 9 campaigns for the FW 17.18 season, she's already the absolute queen: Alberta Ferretti, by Tim Walker Prada "A city of Women", by Willy Vanderperre Sies Marjan, by Theo Wenner Calvin Klein Mainline, by Willy Vanderperre CK Jeans, by Willy Vanderperre Diesel Black Gold, by Collier Schorr Boss Hugo

Queen of the campaign season (Part 1): Faretta

Now that 95% of the ads are out, let's talk about the two models who killed it during this campaign season. I wanted to also include some honorable mentions for Bella (8 campaigns), Gigi Hadid and Taylor Hill (6 campaigns each) and Freja Beha, Grace Elizabeth & Birgit Kos. They all had outstanding seasons, but they didn't reach neither Faretta's nor the other model's (not telling you yet) level. If you had asked me who I thought will get most campaigns when the shows ended in March, I would have said Faretta. She already scored big campaigns for the SS 17 season, and her runway season was flawless despite skipping NYFW. However, despite getting 8 huge campaigns and working with different photographers, she didn't wowed me once. Her best campaign is probably Zara, the rest...still weak. She has to improve a lot. Taylor Hill for Lâncome: Genifique Sensitive campaign

Imagen
Taylor is, without a doubt, the most successful "New Angel". After the great exposure she got walking for VS (and becoming an angel a couple of months later), her career took off. And this is only the beginning. I can see her becoming the most successful model of her generation. I actually mentioned that recently, and someone told me that she still has room for improvement as a model, and I couldn't agree more. I've been following all her work for Lancôme and I do believe this shows how much she has improved in the past year. Her latest ad, which is the one I'm showing you today, is her best. By far. And being so young, she has plenty of time to keep on getting better. Lancôme put a lot of trust on her when they made her their youngest ambassadress. Now they know they made the right choice. Her appeal is obvious to both younger and older costumers. Watch out, Gisele! ;) "Genifique Sensitive", by Mert & Marcus Videos:

BOSS Hugo Boss FW 17.18 campaign, by Glen Luchford

As mentioned on my post about the Zara campaign, today I'm showing you my last favourite campaign of the season. After that, I'll start working on my posts with the two queens of the campaign season, so I can get them published before the shows begin in September.  You only need to know me a little bit to know I adore Kiki. She has such an incredible presence and is so good when it comes to print work.  This campaign is the perfect fall campaign. And there is a shot of Kiki wearing an orange jumper which is stunning. I saw it at the BOSS store, but I can't find it online.

Jennifer Lawrence for US Vogue September 2017

Imagen
Ph. Annie Leibovitz When I first found out about Jennifer being the cover star for this September issue, I wasn't very excited about the whole thing. And when I saw the Annie cover, I was like: Bye! Not interested! Then I saw the other three and, I must admit I kind of love I&V's. Her expression is not the best, but she's an actress, not a model. My biggest complaint is the cover girl choice. If they knew they were going to produce 4 covers, why not picking 4 different women? (Or, God forbid, men?) It is an anniversary issue...go big or go home. Still better than expected... Ph. Bruce Weber Portrait by Rob McKeever Ph.

Zara Fall/Winter 17.18 campaign, by Steven Meisel

Imagen
He's done it again. Meisel has transformed Zara into a luxury brand, just by shooting their campaign again. This (Dior inspired) collection is gorgeous and I want every piece shown on the pictures, but it is Meisel's touch that make all the outfits look much more expensive.  The cast and the photos are better than last season's, in my opinion. However, I think that Grace is a miscast. Even though I adore her, she looks very out of place in this ad. Her shots look like they belong to another campaign, and that's probably why she wasn't photographed with the rest of the models. Vittoria is the absolute star of the campaign, followed by Faretta. But I actually only like Faretta in her pictures with Vittoria, so... Their close-up that I've seen already on every Zara I've visited is everything. After this I'll talk about another campaign that I like and then I'll do my two posts about the two queens of the season. You might see Farett

H&M "Back to black" collection

Imagen
Agnes Akerlund for H&M Divided I don't think I've ever written about a collection like this on my blog. There is always a first time for everything... But it did catch my attention when I saw it on twitter. However, I've got things to say. The clothes are amazing and fit my style completely, but...stop mixing grunge and metal. Then we have kids comparing Metallica with Nirvana and I have heart attacks.  And despite loving that Iron Maiden t-shirt, I'll never buy it. Why? Because I want my band tees to be more original, not the ones from H&M or Forever 21 that all the posers are going to wear. Sorry if it sounds harsh but...it is what it is. Still love the collection, though. Check it out!  I need this blouse!  I NEED this shirt  I love this tee!! Totally my style Rest of the collection:  http://www2.hm.com/en_gb/ladies/shop-by-feature/9gd-back-to-black.html Creo que nunca he escrito una entrada sobre una colec

Michael Kors "Sexy Ruby" Fragance: Edita Vilkeviciute by Mario Testino

Imagen
Last week I talked about how it was 10 years ago that I got into fashion. And today I talk about Edita, one of the first models that caught my eye. She has had a very long career and despite slowing down a little, she is still on top of her game. Mainly when we talk about perfume and beauty contracts. I've lost count of how many perfume contracts she has got during those 12 years of career...15? Here I show you her latest, for Michael Kors' newest fragance.  Not surprised about her success, though. She sells everything so well.
