Chanel beauty Spring/Summer 2015: "Blue Notes de Chanel"

Imagen
I've already talked about Chanel's beauty campaign for the S/S 15 season. However, it looks like they released lots of campaigns this season, with lots of models (Vanessa Axente, Gisele, Jac, Sigrid Agren). One of them is Sam Rollinson, who opened a Chanel show a couple of seasons ago. I don't particularly like Sam, but I don't dislike her either. I feel like she's one of those models whose look I don't really like. But she has some photos that I find quite beautiful. This campaign is part of that group of photos that I really like. When I saw it at the Chanel counter on Selfridges, I stared at it for a couple of seconds. I think the colours are great for the summer, and they definetely catch our attention. Also, Sam's look is great for this kind of ad, and so is her haircut.  Pretty simple, yet gorgeous. Well done, Chanel! Tory Burch Pre-Fall 2015

Imagen
Every time I talk about Tory Burch, I only say good things. If you think it'll be different this time, think twice ;) I absolutely adore this brand, because their designs are simply stunning. I got the chance to check their pre-fall collection (which is inspired by London's style in the 60's) a couple of weeks ago, and I fell in love with every single look. As I said when I talked about the Calvin Klein Jeans line, this is a brand where we can get amazing pieces without spending a fortune. It's slightly more expensive than CK, but still quite affordable. Besides, there are some great sales going on right now, so check those out. Tell me what you think of this collection, please =) Model: Ine Neefs Cada vez que hablo de Tory Burch solo digo cosas buenas. Si pensabais que esta vez iba a ser diferente, pensad de nuevo ;) Adoro esta marca, porque sus diseños son simplemente preciosos. Tuve la oportunidad de echar un ojo a

Nina Ricci "L'Extase": Laetitia Casta by Dusan Reljin

I've been wanting to talk about this ad for a long time, but I kept forgetting about it.  When I first saw it, I knew I liked it. It fits the name of the perfume without going too far. The tv ad, however, goes far. It's a bit more explicit, even though we don't really get to see much. The elevator idea has been done in the past (Dior Homme ad with Camille R. and Robert P., for example), but I feel like it doesn't get old ;) ;) Also, Laetitia is gorgeous and looks amazing on that video. She's one of the first models I've ever noticed, but it was because she was an actress too. Anyway, great ad.

Victoria's Secret Swim Special

Imagen
I was going to talk about this special the day it was released, but that was "Prada day" and, you know, I have priorities ;) Also, it felt kind of weird to be talking about swimsuits and going to the beach in February. Now, it feels more appropiate. This special is actually quite cool, since we get to see the behind the scenes of all those big VS Swim shoots. It's nice to get some interviews with the models as well, since we don't get those too often. PS: Jac is too cute.

Chanel "Chance Eau Vive": by Jean-Paul Goude

Chanel has a new perfume, which is part of their popular "Chance" collection. This line had 3 perfumes, and I love all of them. The new one is as good as the others. However, there are many perfumes that smell really well, and I don't talk about all of them, do I? The thing is that this one also has a cute campaign that I really want to show you. To be honest, their ads have always been amazing. These perfumes are fresher and younger than your average Chanel perfume (Nº5, Nº19, etc...). That's why the campaigns are always quirky and fun, to catch a younger audience's attention.  We have 4 models representing the 4 perfumes. Sigrid is the only one who already was a part of the Chance family. She used to represent the Chanel "Eau Tendre" perfume, and you should check her previous tv ad, because it was gorgeous. Rianne, Cindy and Romy are the new models, and I'm not sure about how well they fit the brand.  Anyway, the video is l

Blast from the past: Vogue USA December 2003, "Alice in Wonderland" by Annie Leibovitz

Imagen
A couple of weeks ago, I talked about an editorial featured on Vogue USA in 1992. I found out about it thanks to a documentarie about Vogue. But I also saw this other editorial that it's worth talking about. Natalia always had that beautiful face that made her look like a doll. Her innocent look was perfect for this story, where she played Alice in Wonderland. I feel like it was pretty original, and it's cool to see lots of designers being part of this story too.

Valentino Pre-Fall 2015: Grace, Ine, Maartje & Harleth by Michal Pudelka

Imagen
Most brands use the same photographer every season (Meisel for Prada, Mert&Marcus for Versace, ...). Valentino, however, keeps changing. That's good for me, but some of you may disagree. I feel like changing the photographer every 2 or 3 seasons creates more expectation. It doesn't look the same all the time (unless they try to copy each other, which didn't happen yet). Last season, Valentino hired Michal Pudelka, and the fashion world loved the campaign. I talked about it too:  http://putonachicface.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/springsummer-2015-campaigns-valentino.html The campaign was absolutely stunning. One of my all time favourites, for sure. This pre-fall one is fantastic too. It's true that the "mirror effect" has been done before (plenty of times, actually), but this looks different and special. The models fit the brand really well, and the styling is great. Well done, Valentino! =) Valentino Pre-fall 2015: Grace Hartzel, Ine Neefs, Maa

Vogue Paris June/July 2015: Ola, Lineisy, Rianne, Sophia, Adrienne, Frederikke and Alexandra Elizabeth by Paolo Roversi

You guys know I'm not Vogue Paris' biggest fan. However, this editorial is fantastic. It's called "Nouvelle Vague", which is a great title for it. I guess you all know why, but I'll explain it briefly, just in case. This term was used to talk about a new group of French cinema directors, back in the 50's. Their ideas where different to the ones seen before. In this ed we can see 7 new models, with different looks and lots of potential. As you can see, it makes sense. These models could change de fashion world like the french directors changed the cinema world. Why not? My favourite is Ola, as you may already know. But all of them look great. Lineisy is the newest one but, being a Prada exclusive proves she can be really big. The rest of the girls are very succesful too (or at least they've been succesful so far). Also, Roversi is a genius. Love his work!!! Nouvelle Vague Ola Rudnicka, Rianne van Rompaey, Alexandra Elizabe
