Dior Addict Lacquer Plump & Lancôme "L'Absolu Lacquer"

Imagen
This season's must have, apparently, is a lip lacquer. Both Dior and Lancôme have created huge campaigns to advertise their version of it, and today I want to talk about those campaigns and what makes the product special. Dior Addict Lacquer Plump ( £ 28.50) 16 Shades Plumping lacquered ink, long-wear colour Ph: Cass Bird Bella is back for another campaign, and she has also been doing a lot of press promoting this product. You may have seen some pictures of her at different events. The reason why I'm in love with Dior beauty lately is Peter Philips. He really has changed the game in this brand, and his idea of combining make-up and skincare is absolutely brilliant. Dior has the best ma

Campaign season queens S/S 18, Part 2: Vittoria Ceretti (Italy)

Imagen
For the second time in three seasons, we're crowning Vittoria as the campaign queen. The fashion world gets more and more fickle, which makes this achievemente even more impressive.  Vittoria scored a total of 9 blue chip campaigns. Though, if we counted all her Chanel beauty ads individually...the number will increase quite a bit. Great season for her. And since I adore her, you won't see me complaining if she's the queen again next season. Campaign season queens S/S 18, Part 1: Cara Taylor (USA)

Back with the campaigns, in time to tell you about the queens of the season before the new ads for next season come out. First, I wanted to briefly mention last year's queens. Faretta is already flopping, and she went from scoring 8 campaigns to getting only 2: Ralph Lauren and Salvatore Ferragamo.  Kiki, however, is still on top form. She "only" got 4 campaigns this season (DVF, Calvin Klein, Christopher Kane, Marni), but those consolidate her. Besides, after her flawless fashion month, she showed she's not going anywhere. I also have some honorable mentions for other models who did great this season: Gigi Hadid (8), Rianne van Rompaey (6) and Bella, Kaia and Ansley (5). Now it's time to announce the runner-up of the season: Cara Taylor, who scored 8 major campaigns. On my next post, I'll show you who dominated the season. Meet Fran Summers: New face from the UK

Imagen
Fran Summers (England, UK) / Storm Models                        Traditionally, I like to do a special post for my birthday. Not one that is about me, but one about something I really like. This year, it is going to be another "Meet this new face". And it is all about one of my favourites of the moment: Fran Summers. - Who is she? Fran is from Yorkshire, in England. And she started modelling not that long ago. This runway season was her third, and her second one doing only top shows. Last September she had two exclusives: in London (J.W. Anderson) and Milan (Prada); and walked a bunch of top shows in Paris. After that she got 4 campaigns for the SS 18 season and they were all pretty big.

Vogue Spain 30th Anniversary: Birgit, Blanca, Luna & Yasmin by Emma Summerton

Imagen
Vogue Spain is turning 30 this month, and I'm turning 29 next week. Should we celebrate together? I feel like we should. However, the big difference between Vogue and I is that I won't have all these models posing for my birthday card. I know, very unfair! But let's forget about that, so we can talk about the cover and the editorial they created for this special moment. Funnily enough, the Spanish version of Vogue is using 3 Dutch models and a Spaniard to celebrate their anniversary. Now, don't get me wrong, because I don't believe in just using models from Spain on Spanish magazines. I want them to pick who they think is the best for that job, and who they like the most over someone who was born in Madrid instead of Amsterdam.  My issue is that being an anniversary issue, I feel like a group shot should include national models. Had they gone for a solo cover, I wouldn't mind as much. But it just feels more like Vogue Netherlands. Granted, most

Book review: "The Cruel Prince", by Holly Black

Imagen
Overhyped books...they terrify me. And this one probably redefined the word overhyped, but I have to agree with everyone responsible for that. "The Cruel Prince" is my first Holly Black book, and I'm really looking forward to reading some of her previous work. Her writing is one that I find very easy to read, while having a lot of words I wasn't even familiar with. To sum the plot up without giving much away, I'll say that this book is about Jude, a human who lives among the Fae. She craves being accepted by them, but many Fae despise humans. So you can guess it's not an easy ride for her and her twin sister. We follow her story while we discover everything that is going on in the Fae lands, where a big political change is about to happen. One of the things that I enjoy the most (and that I always like in books) is that there was a combination of action and description. This world is quite a complex one, and it is explained to us while things ke

Chanel FW 18.19: Beauty look from the runway

Imagen
I wasn't able to write much about PFW because of the flu that attacked me, but I didn't want to skip this beauty look. It's a good one. We never really see simple looks at the Chanel show, which is always exciting. It's something else to look forward to, not just the clothes. This particular look has various elements that I love: the messy bun, the golden tones and the glitter. It's a bit more subtle that previous looks, but still catches your attention immediately.

Model's streetstyle: Elsa Hosk

This kind of seems to be the Victoria's Secret week, with me talking about three of their best angels. But I guess it makes sense in a way, since none of the angels has done much during fashion week, so they inspired me in other ways. Elsa is known for many things, and one is her style. She is not shy at all, and likes fashion a lot. She likes to experiment and wear things that many could not pull off. But she can because of her attitude. At the end of the day, it's all about the attitude, never forget that. Of course, this means that not everyone is going to like what she is wearing. And to be honest, that happens to me many times. I'll see her wearing something that looks amazing on her, but I won't like the outfit as a whole. Then this happened...the outfit of all outfits! It's the best thing she's ever worn, perfect for her, different, ...I love it! I particularly love the Versace shorts because, even though I only wear black, I love those k
