Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Imagen
Milan fashion week is over, and the action starts today in Paris. Last stop of this crazy month, and I'm very much looking forward to certain shows. Today should be a quiet day, with the exception of YSL at the end of day 1. But it's time for me to talk about four last shows seen in Milan. -Salvatore Ferragamo: This is just one of my favourite brands, but I was aware that the designer change could affect that favoritism. It didn't really, because this collection is as close to flawless as it gets. It might not be the most exciting one, because it's quite classic and safe, but it's so well made and beautiful. I love it.

Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #1

Milan has definetely helped with the whole falling in love again with fashion. 95% of the collections have been stunning, all in their own way. We started the week with Alberta Ferretti and those capes that were just dreamy. Fendi didn't disappoint either (look at Bella's outfit, it's so me), Max Mara had the most gorgeous colours, Bottega was as elegant as ever, Philosophy is still one of my favourite shows in Milan, same for Sportmax, Diesel Black Gold was cool and perfect, ...it's like a dream. And we still have some shows left!!

London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review

LFW is over, and it almost killed me. It really has been intense, ask my knee if you don't believe me. But it has also been lovely. So many good shows that I'll be showing you on this post. My favourite? Erdem, probably. But I also really liked Antonio Berardi and Burberry. - Erdem:   -Burberry:   - Roland Mouret:   -Pringle of Scotland:   -Topshop:   -Mary Katrantzou:   -Temperley London:   -Mulberry:  -Versus:   -J.W. New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Second and final review for NYFW. It has been quite a good week, if I'm honest. I feel like I'm more into fashion than I was last season, and that makes me happy. I hope LFW doesn't kill my vibe ;)  Shows that are worth a mention are ODLR and Proenza Schouler. De la Renta because they have new designers, who I think did a great job. This felt more like the classic ODLR than Copping's ODLR ever did. And Proenza because this was their last show in NY. They're moving to Paris, which is always exciting. I adore this brand and if I could purchase all their clothes, I won't hesitate for a second. This collection was supposed to be all about NY, which is a concept that I fail to understand. But I know I liked it, so it's all good. I also really enjoyed Narciso Rodriguez's show, as usual, and Ralph Lauren's. You can argue that Ralph does the same thing over and over again, but...it's SO pretty! How can I not like it? Segunda y última reseñ

New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #1

The first couple of days in NY have been quite intense. Lots of political messages in different collections, which I appreciate. But the main show out of all of them was Calvin Klein. I love Raf so very much, and I defended him while he was at Dior. However, this is not going to be remembered as my favourite collection. I see what he tried to do, and I think it's a great start. But many things need to be polished. Despite all of that, I do think he's a better fit for CK than he was for Dior. And we finally saw Lulu on the runway. I'll leave you the video where you can watch CK's show and some more videos with shows I think you may find interesting. See you in a couple of days!

New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Schedule

It's fashion week time. Even though we already had a TH show in LA yesterday...but that was SS 17 and out of the offical calendar.  Today, I wanted to give you a link for the schedule for NYFW. I'll also write really quickly the shows that I'm the most excited about. I can't wait to see them all. Schedule: http://fashionweekonline.com/new-york/schedule Favourite shows:       -Rag&Bone: Feb 9th, 8 pm NY time.   -Calvin Klein: Feb 10th, 10 am NY time.   -Victoria Beckham: Feb 12th, 10 am NY time.   -Proenza Schouler: Feb 13th, 13 pm NY time.

Taylor Hill for Lancôme

Imagen
Today I have a "lazy, lazy, it doesn't really get more lazy" post. On the weekend, I was in another town and I went to a little shopping center and checked the cosmetics section. I usually don't do that in places like Selfridges, because it's overwhelming. But this time I did, taking advantage of the lack of people in the area. And I saw the new Lancôme adverts, featuring Taylor Hill. I am not a massive fan of how the first campaign looks, but I do love these little videos. By using Taylor, they're trying to appeal to a younger target, and she really is perfect for that. Is Taylor ready to conquer the fashion world? I think so...

Gigi x Tommy Hilfiger (Spring 2017)

Imagen
I'm not the biggest fan of fashion collaborations, but this one was meant to be. Gigi represents that American vybe that TH is known for.  This second collection is a bit different from the first, which I personally liked more. However, this one is more Gigi than the previous one and you can see that in the way those clothes look on her. I really look forward to trying on the jumpsuit, though. Gorgeous! ¡Precioso!

Celebritie streetstyle: Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless)

Imagen
A couple of weeks ago I talked about Dakota Johnson's streetstyle. But I originally thought of doing that kind of post about Taylor Momsen, not Dakota. I met Taylor when I started watching Gossip Girl. I was a huge fan of the show, but I have to say I never really liked Jenny as a character. During season 2, her style changed and so did Taylor's. I still didn't like the character, but I loved her style. I started to watch the show again (#Netflixmademedoit) and I noticed that again. Nowadays, I adore Taylor because I adore her music and her style. But it's mainly a musical thing. So I decided to show you my favourite looks that she's worn in the last couple of years. They're all so me it's not even funny.

Maartje Verhoef for Numéro Fr. Feb' 17, by Victor Demarchelier

Imagen
When was the last time I talked about Maartje? 2 days ago? Joking, but I really talk a lot about her. It's not my fault that she is an amazing model who has improved massively in fron of the camera. No, that's all on her, I'm afraid ;) One of my favourite editorials she's ever done was for Numéro France as well. They know how to bring the best out of her. Seeing these pictures and knowing what the four covers (with Catherine McNeil) look like, I feel like Maartje should have been on the cover instead. Lovely images on a lovely editorial. Great job by both Maartje, Victor and Numéro.
