Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Loewe campaign, with Vittoria Ceretti

Imagen
Ever since J.W. Anderson started to work for Loewe, their campaign has been released a couple of days before the show. And this year, they have released something a bit different and special. They also have a campaign where you can actually see the clothes, but what I want to show you is this "Fruits" ad with Vittoria Ceretti. The incredible make-up is courtesy of the queen Pat McGrath, who else? And it is the make up and Vittoria's eyes that are the key of this campaign. Obviously, she's quite restricted because of those (sometimes huge) pieces of fruit in her mouth, yet she manages to express different emotions with her eyes. Basically what a real good model should be able to do. Original and well executed.

Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Chloé show

Imagen
There are a few brands this season that have new designers making their debut and Chloé is one of them. I've always raved about Chloé because it is such a lovely brand, really. They make nice clothes and accessories that are easy to love. Actually, the new designer, Natacha Ramsay-Levi, said that Chloé is a kind of fashion that it is easy to understand. And I have to agree with her. If you don't know who Natacha is, just know that she has worked for many years with Nicolas Ghesquière, and you'll understand why this collection looks the way it does.  When you work for so long with a designer and when you learn from that designer, you tend to incorporate things from his/her job into your own. That's not copying at all, it's just normal. However, while I was watching the show, I reached a point when I was like: Too much like LV! Too much! It still is a lovely collection. But I think she needs to keep on working on her own and creating her own personal st

Milan Fashion Week S/S 2018: Versace show

Imagen
Everyone seems to have an opinion about this Versace show, and I thought I would give you mine as well. My first thought was that I really dislike it when models walk at the same time on the runway. Even the Etro show, where models walked quite close to each other, annoyed me slightly. But this whole 4 models walking at the same time...no, big fat no. I know it is something very personal, but I had to say how much I dislike it. And that leads me to my second complaint: the models. Most models didn't fit the vybe of the show and/or the brand. They mistake walking fast with having a powerful walk and...I don't know, I just didn't enjoy the cast either. The collection was a good mix of old and new, which fits the theme for the show. It is a tribute to Gianni after all. And it is also a crowd pleaser. Well, actually, the entire show is a crowd pleaser. It was done knowing that most people would adore it, but I don't buy into things that easily. Sorry.

Milan Fashion Week S/S 2018: Blanca Padilla at the amfAR Gala

Imagen
When you attend a gala like the amfAR gala, you want everyone to look at you. Blanca definetely nailed that, because out of all the looks from this gala, I only care about hers. Very sexy and strong, but not tacky at all. That Blumarine dress was made for her. I really want to see her in more of these events.

Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018: Alberta Ferretti's beauty look

Imagen
So, as I told you, I'm going to talk about fashion week related things that inspired me in one way or another. And this beauty look from the Alberta Ferretti show inspired me in so many ways. I first saw it on Blanca Padilla's ig stories (which I screenshot for you) and then I saw it on all the official pictures from the show. It was one of the most beautiful looks. It's a silvery smoky eye and Blanca explained to us how to get it. They are obviously using a shadow as a base and they blended to created a soft cat eye effect underneath the glitter that they put on top. Crazy simple and always flattering.  The rest of the face was kept quite simple, but they did try to give the models dewy skin, which looks really good with the wet hair effect they went for. Apart from Blanca's photos, I'm posting tons of Barbara Palvin pictures where you can see the final look. She makes any look beautiful because, well, her face is pretty flawless. Also, I'm po

London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018: Tommy x Gigi collection

Imagen
I've been thinking a lot. Mainly about why I have a blog, and the answer is for fun. However, when fashion week begins, I feel like it is another job that I have to do. And that takes the fun away. So, I have decided that I'll just talk about random fashion week things rather than talking about each show and do general reviews. I want to enjoy blogging, and this is the only way to do that. He estado pensando mucho últimamente. Tommy x Gigi Fall Winter 17.18, London One of the highlights of London Fashion Week was the Tommy Hilfiger show, that continues its tour around the worl

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018: Review #2

Imagen
NYFW is over. And here I bring you a bunch of shows that took place in the last couple of days. I'll try my hardest to have a post up tomorrow with some beauty looks, but LFW starts tomorrow and I'm going to be very busy. But I'll try!! New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018: Review #1

Imagen
Here we go again...and this was supposed to be my second review. I'm sorry but, between the fact that I work pretty much every hour of my life (and when I'm not working, I'm studying) and the fact that NYFW is getting worse every season...I don't know, it just doesn't excite me. Last night I watched the ODLR show live, just because I had nothing better to do and I was bored. I usually go crazy everytime there is a livestream and enjoy it as if I was right there sitting front row. I don't know if you have noticed, but NYFW is losing a lot of its appeal, while LFW is getting better and better every season. I'm obviously lucky to be in London at the moment, because its fashion week has never been so relevant.  And that loss shows also on the models doing shows. Usually, a model that was going to walk the most shows in a season walked 20 shows in NY. Now we have average seasons for models like Faretta who should be everywhere. The only model who is slay

Who do I want to see walking every show during fashion month?

Imagen
I had a little gap between the previous post and the next, which will be my first NYFW review. And I thought that I could tell you about the 4 models I want to see on as many shows as possible. -Taylor Hill: Taylor missed a huge portion of fashion month last season because she was shooting a campaign for Carolina Herrera.  She has multiple contracts, which means she doesn't need runway work as much as others, but I still want to see her doing some shows in every city. Same way she did it in the last couple of seasons: Ralph Lauren, Versace, Topshop, Chanel, ...just a few, Tay Tay.

Model's streetstyle: Blanca Padilla at the VS Casting

Imagen
This year's VSFS is a bit different than others. Castings are over, the line-up is confirmed, and we had information about the castings like we never have before. Most models were photographed arriving to the castings and callbacks, so we knew exactly who did the castings...and who didn't. Said models knew their pictures were going to be taken, and they dressed up for the occasion. My favourite look? Blanca's! Just look at those pictures and tell me they shouldn't have booked her for the show...she looks amazing. Body wise, she's never looked better and the pieces she chose to wear complimented her body really well. The shoes are not that great but, who is looking at her feet?

Ansel Elgort & Vittoria Ceretti for Us Vogue September, by Testino

Imagen
How about a more simple but still great post for my back to work day? I think it is a good idea. You may know that I like Vittoria as a model, but you may not know I used to be a big fan of Ansel, in general. It is not as if I'm not a fan now but, I just don't follow him as much. That's why this editorial came as a bit of a surprise, but a pleasant one. They are both gorgeous, and I love these pictures.
