Vogue covers, June 2016

Imagen
US Vogue June 2016: Margot Robbie by Mert&Marcus She's pretty, I can't deny that. But this picture is very average. There are better photos on the editorial, which is really nice, actually. Must be because of Alexander Skarsgard, though. He should have been on the cover too. Vogue Paris June/July August 2016: Iselin Steiro by Mikael Jansson Very surprised to see Iselin here. But I quite like it. The issue is pretty strong, which is new for them. Good job. Me sorprende mucho ver a Iselin aquí. Pero no me disgusta en absoluto. Y en si el número es bastante consistente, lo cual es una novedad. Gran trabajo. Vogue México June 2016: Cora Emmanuel by Álvaro Beamud Cortés Well, this is not

Mango "Welcome Summer" June 2016 lookbook: Julia Bergshoeff

My gif (Video source: Mango's yt channel) I can't remember the last time this happened but, I woke up today and realized I had no posts ready for today. Panic, absolute panic! So I decided to play it safe and talk about something that is both pretty and actual. This is the new collection that Mango has released, and some pieces are already available at their stores. The title of the lookbook is simple: Welcome Summer! If I'm not wrong, this was shot in Ibiza and one of my faves is on it. Julia has been working a lot with Mango, and all her lookbooks are something special. If you like any of these pieces, go to the store and get them ;) No puedo recordar la última vez que me pasó algo así, pero hoy me desperté y me di cuenta de que no tenía ninguna entrada lista para publicar. Pánico, ¡pánico absoluto! Así que decidí ir a lo seguro y hablar de algo que es bonito y actual. Esta es la nueva colección de M

Karlie Kloss: Swarovski's newest spokesmodel

Imagen
Ph: Craig McDean I like to think that Karlie has a plan that we don't know of and that's she's trying to conquer the world. After seeing her scoring this new contract, it makes even more sense. I'm not a big jewelry person, but even I knew Miranda Kerr was the face of Swarovski. Well, not anymore, because that's Karlie's job now. And she'll be doing that for 2 years/4 seasons.  These pictures I'll show you belong to the FW 16.17 campaign, and they'll start to appear on all the September issues during the month of August.  I'm not going to post all the pictures, just a few. But if you want to see them all, and just check anything Karlie related, check my friend Verónica's tumblr  http://justkarliekloss.tumblr.com/ I always mention her when I talk about Karlie, I know. But really, her tumblr is just too good. And that's where I get all my Karlie info ;) And both of us discovered that we've been pronouncing Swarovski

Bottega Veneta Resort 2017

Imagen
BTS pic from Bottega's IG If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know I rarely talk about Resort/Pre-fall collections. I only do it when I see something that's really special. And, believe me, everything about this Bottega Veneta lookbook is special. I adore Tomas Meier's work for Bottega Veneta, but the last couple of RTW collections have disappointed me slightly. However, this Resort one is everything. The clothes are beautiful. I'm obsessed with the blue dress Maartje is wearing. But I also love the hair and make-up and the filters used for the photos. All the models look stunning. Great job!! Designer: Tomas Maier Models: Hedvig Palm, Willow Hand, Maartje Verhoef, Ondria Hardin, Dylan Xue, Li Xiao Xing & Isabella Emmack Whole collection:  http://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/resort-2017/bottega-veneta/slideshow/collection#1 Si léeis mi blog a menudo, puede que sepáis que es raro que yo hable

Cannes Festival 2016: Alessandra Ambrosio

Imagen
This last post about Cannes was going to be about the amFar Gala. However, none of the looks impressed me much, so I decided to talk about something else. This year's festival has been quite disappointing, fashion wise, and Alessandra isn't an exception. It pains me to say this, because I love her style. But her looks have been really bad this year. I know, I know...everyone was almost naked on the red carpet. Or at least it feels like that. And, I'm not a prude, but sometimes it gets too much. Yes, I'm looking at you Bella Hadid. Alessandra's outfits were not as revealing, but I still didn't like them. This one is better, but still not great. The see through part under the skirt, that we could see when see moved, destroyed a very nice dress. I do like the hair and make-up, though. And I understand that many jewelry brands invite models to this festival, but that necklace is not ok for that dress. I just hate it. So yeah, disappointing time at C

Cannes Festival 2016: Barbara Palvin & Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

People say pink and red don't go well together. Well, we're mixing those two colours today ;) Barbara has been attending this festival for a while, since she's one of the main faces of L'oreal. And I always say she's never going to beat the look worn on her first appearance. However, this year's look gets 2nd place. I feel like they always tend to make her wear black, to make her look thinner (I know, I'm rolling my eyes too). Therefore, I welcome this softer look. I'm in love with Lorenzo Serafini's work for Philosophy, and this dress is just another example. I also adore the hair and make-up. She looks gorgeous. And what about Rosie? God, she's a total queen. She could make me want to wear the ugliest dress in the world, just because it'll look amazing on her. Red seems to be an unpopular colour when it comes to the red carpet, but she makes it work. This Alexandre Vauthier is (like 99% of his designs) sexy but classy. With tha
