Reserved Xmas campaign (Irina Shayk, Jon Kortajarena, ...) #blogmasday23

Imagen
Last September, a new store was opened in Oxford Street. Polish brand Reserved made it to the UK and I'm very happy about it. The only thing I knew about the brand was that they used many models I like for their campaigns. But I wasn't aware of what they offered in terms of clothes, quality/prices, ...so I went to the store, for research purposes. Was I disappointed? Not in the slightlest! It actually is my new favourite shop for clothes. They've got many different styles available, which makes it appealing to many people. And the quality/price equation is brilliant. Their campaigns are the cherry on top. How great is this Xmas one? Irina and Jon are such a great pairing. It makes even the Grichest of the Grichses (me) feel festive! El pasado septiembre, una nueva tienda abrió sus puertas en Oxford Street. La marca polaca Reserved llegó al Reino Unido y me hizo muy feliz con su llegada. Lo único que sabía sobre esta marca era que us

The final random post for blogmas is here! And I struggled a lot when deciding what to talk about. Actually, it was my friend Verónica (justkarliekloss on tumblr) who led me to this idea.  As a massive music fan, I like to research my favourite musicians. That can lead to disappointment, because being talented and being a jerk can go together. But it also leads to becoming a fan of a musician both as an artist and as a person. That happened to me with Lzzy, who is the sweetest most badass rocker you'll ever find.  Another thing that I love about her is how she empowers women and men with her social media and the messages she sends on interviews. More people like her is what we need. Talking about her style, is like talking about how I want to look most of the time. But I can't be bothered. She's tall, has a great body and a beautiful face. But it is that personality that makes her absolutely gorgeous.  However, we are here today to talk about her style, whi

Festive/Glittery make-up #blogmasday21

A couple of days ago, I did a post featuring some festive outfits. This could be seen as part 2 of that post. Over the years, I have talked about many different beauty looks that were glittery. If it shines, I like it. And today, I'll be showing you some of those runway looks I've loved, because it's the season to shine! Got any favourites? Si brilla, me gusta. Y hoy os enseñaré algunos de esos looks de pasarela que me han encantado, porque es la temporada en que hay que brillar. ¿Tenéis algún favorito?

My favourite song: "Afterlife", by Avenged Sevenfold #blogmasday20

When I decided to do blogmas, I knew I was going to struggle with the random posts. I didn't want them to just be about books or music, because that could be boring. But the truth is that those are the two things that keep me sane, so it makes sense that I talk about them a lot. I also told myself: Ana, do not write 20 posts about A7X! Stop annoying everyone! And I only wrote 2 about them in a whole month, so don't bite me ;) It can't be denied that it is a band that has changed many things in my life, and one of those things is my favourite song. It used to be "Knights of Cydonia" by Muse, but now it isn't anymore.  The one that becomes your favourite isn't always the one that catches your attention immediately, and this example proves it. While I was listening to the entire A7X catalogue, "Afterlife" didn't speak to me that much the first couple of times that I listened to it.  However, since I'm a music freak, just listen

It isn't hard to see that I love natural beauty over more overdone beauties. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE artistic make-ups, but my personal preference is natural and it shows. Because of that, these photos caught my eye immediately. I was checking the IMG website and when I saw them, I had to click on that article to see more. I'm not familiar with Adela's work, but if she normally delivers like she did in this ed, I'm a fan.

"13 minutes" by Sarah Pinborough #blogmasday18

When I knew I'll be talking about different books during this month, I wanted to show you books that were not the same thing over and over again.  I talked about Sharapova's biography, which is non-fiction and has a sport element. And also about the "Fever" series, which is fantasy. "13 minutes" is fiction, but has no fantasy on it. So as you can see, those books are clearly not the same. I had seen this book everytime I went to a bookshop and it caught my eye every single time. I finally decided to listen to the audiobook and it was a great decision. Rosie Jones is, so far, my favourite narrator I've ever listened to on an audiobook. Her different voices and accents gave the characters a lot of personality, and made it really easy to know who was talking when. And the last couple of sentences were probably the creepiest thing I've ever listen, but also incredibly brilliant. The story is pretty intriguing. Natasha is found dead on a riv

Alberta Ferretti S/S 2018 campaign, by Mario Sorrenti #blogmasday17

Here we go again, time for campaigns! Like I did last season, I'll just talk about the ones I feel are worth my time. And at the end of the season, I'll let you know who the queens of the season are. So far, Vittoria is on the lead. Alberta Ferretti presented a beautiful collection for SS, and Sorrenti and the models manage to make the clothes shine as much as they did on the runway. Vittoria, with her mediterranean beauty, is perfect for this brand. Really happy to see her back on the campaign. And Cara is ten times better on pictures than she is on the runway, so I'm not too bothered by her being part of the ad. However, I do feel like there were many models on the show that could have been a better fit that Cara and Binx. I would normally complain about such a simple background, but it actually works really well with the colours of the clothes. It adds a very nice light that compliments those shiny materials and gives a bit more life to the matte darker
