Put on a Chic face

After PFW I wanted to talk about Blanca Padilla because she's one of my new favourites. I loved her on the runway, and I thought people deserved to know more about her. Then, she was casted for the VSFS and my post about her got tons and tons of views. I've written over 400 posts since I created my blog, and my post about Blanca is 3 visits away from becoming the 4th most popular post I've ever written. There's someone pretending to be Blanca on twitter, but Blanca DOES NOT have a twitter account. Her agency confirmed that, and so did Blanca herself when she created a fan page in Facebook. In that fan page she linked her instagram, and she also said that she doesn't have a twitter account. I'm not a big fan of these "no make-up"/"no photoshop" eds, since I find it hard to believe they didn't use any of their tricks in the pictures. However, these images are incredibly beautiful, and I needed to share them with you. I've talked about Barbara before. She's one of my favourite models, and I think she's one of the most naturally beautiful models I've ever seen. With a face like hers, she can do as many "no make-up" eds as she wants. But what I like the most is the vybe of the shoot. It's all very simple, but it has a nice touch. It's very intimate and minimal, and it brings out our emotions when we look at the pictures. I've talked about the close relationship between fashion and music before. The last time I did it, it was more obvious because of the collaboration Ralph Lauren did with Avicii. This time is not as obvious, but you'll see what I mean to show you really fast. Taylor Swift features in fashion magazines very often (Vogue, Elle, InStyle,...) and she's going to performe at the VSFS again. Also, this video has been shot in the same mansion where Victoria's Secret shoots some of their commercials. But of course, the biggest reason why I talk about this video is Sean O'Pry. Sean is a very popular male model, and has done campaigns for: Viktor & Rolf, Salvatore Ferragamo, Hermès, H&M, Jil Sander, Armani or Kenzo, just to name a few. I've lost count of how many perfume contracts Edita has. I mean, I can totally see why she gets them, but it's crazy. Take a look at some super famous supermodels, and you'll see they only have 2 or 3 perfume contracts. Edita has got over 10 since she started modelling. Chanel, Calvin Klein, Dior, Bulgari, Versace, Hermès, Viktor & Rolf,... most models dream of getting at least one, while Edita has tons of them. Why? Well, she's absolutely gorgeous. Her beauty is both classic and edgy. She's also very versatile, and her work for Calvin Klein proves it. She can be a lady in one ad, and a super sexy woman in the next. People who doesn't know or care about fashion can look at her ads and say: stunning! I want to smell that perfume. Now it was Roberto Cavalli who hired her. I already talked about the models that are walking for VS this year. Now, I'll give you my opinion about the angels and the contracted models. Ya os he hablado de las modelos que desfilarán para VS este año. Ahora os quiero dar mi opinión sobre los ángeles y las modelos con contrato. ANGELS: Adriana Lima Adriana was my favourite back in 2008. But I don't really like her anymore. Some people say this is her ( and Ale's) last show and, I think it might be time for her to leave. She has a lot of presence and is very popular, but it's also boring to see her doing the same things over and over again. Too intense. Adriana era mi favorita en 2008. Ya no me gusta tanto. Alguna gente dice que este es su último desfile (y el de Ale), y creo que puede que si sea hora de que se vaya. Kendall has scored a big contract. Who would have thought? I don't really see Kendall as a EL girl, because I don't think she fits the classy and super luxurious image EL tries to portrait. Joan doesn't either but, I guess I'm the only one who complains about that. I think she could fit brands like Maybelline or L'oreal, but I don't really like her for EL. To be honest, I don't get that angry when she gets campaigns or eds, because I think she's pretty and looks like a model, unlike other celebs who try to be models. But it obviously bothers me to see her getting all those contracts because of her family. However, I think she's great for beauty campaigns. Pretty enough, and popular. That's why I imagine her in ads for drugstore brands. I understand Estée Lauder is trying to attract a younger target, which is fine. But, I can't say I like Kendall for this brand. However, her ads can't be worse than Cara's ads for YSL beauty,

Last week I talked about the first bunch of confirmed models for the VSFS 2014 (  http://putonachicface.blogspot.com.es/2014/11/who-is-walking-2014-victorias-secret.html ). Today I'll talk about the models that have been confirmed since I did my post. This should be the final list plus one more model. That model could be Erin Heatherton, but it isn't confirmed 100%, so it could be someone else. A friend of mine told me that it would be cool to write my opinion about the angels and the contracted models. I won't do that today, since I want you to know the not so popular models first. But I'll do it soon.
