Vogue covers, December 2015

Imagen
Festive covers everywhere!! Do we like them? Well, I feel like they're better than last year, which is good. But I find this month quite boring cover wise. I quite like Vogue Spain's and Vogue México's covers. And Vogue Uk isn't bad either, but I like the mood of the editorial better. I dislike Vogue Paris and Vogue Brazil, and I don't really care much about the rest. I'll let you see them so you can tell me which one is your fave. No me gustan nada Vogue París y Vogue Brasil. Y el resto me dan un poco igual. Os dejo que veáis todas para que me digáis cual es vuestra favorita. Streetstyle: Romee Strijd

Isabel Marant event I love writing about streetstyle. I feel like what the models wear is more important than we realize, and showing you these pictures at least 4 times every year kind of proves my point. Back in 2008, Edita Vilkeviciute said that she didn't always wore what she liked wearing during fashion week. Why? Because of how important streetstyle shots are. Now, we have instagram, twitter, ...and a model's style is very important. An average model with a great style can become a social media star. And we all know how important that is in the fashion industry nowadays. That's why one of my first posts ever was about streetstyle. Romee's style, actually. She only had two successful runway seasons before her "modeling break", yet she managed to wow lots of people because of her style. Back then I made a post with just pictures: http://putonachicface.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/models-streetstyle-romee-strijd.html  Really, what the hell? It&

#tbt: Kendall Jenner for Miss Vogue Australia #3 (December 2012)

Ph: Russell James  The Kardashians...what a family!! I didn't know much about them, since I'm not into programmes like theirs or gossip magazines. But I had to learn about them when they started to be part of the fashion industry. Then, I heard that one of them, who wasn't really a Kardashian but a Jenner, wanted to be a model. When she was rumored to get this cover I'm showing you today, people went nuts. And I was like: who's Kendall and why do we hate her so much? I know now who she is, but I still don't know why so many people hate her. When she first started modelling, I never recognized her on the runway, which was good. It meant she didn't look out of place like others do...hi, Cara!! But now I do recognize her, and, as you can tell by the fact that I feature her often in my blog, I even like her as a model. A month or so ago, I remembered how much I liked her first proper editorial. It's perfect for a throwback Thursday, don

Bottega Veneta Cruise 2016: Josephine Le Tutour & Ben Allen by Raymond Meier

I rarely talk about Cruise or Pre-fall collections/ads. So, when I do, you know there's a good reason. This time the reason is simple: this campaign is stunning. When I saw the photos for the first time, I automatically fell in love with them. Then I saw them on the new issue of Vogue and I fell even more in love. It kind of is similar to a BV campaign from a couple of seasons ago (S/S 14), and I loved that one as well. I'm going to leave you the link to the post where I talked about that one, in case you haven't seen it already:  http://putonachicface.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/ss-14-campaigns-lanvin-bottega-veneta.html I really like this brand (most of the time), and I love this campaign. Great job!

Marie Claire Australia October 2015: Rosie Tupper by Nicole Bentley

Ph: Nicole Bentley Anyone who has been reading my blog for a while should already know the fashion things I like. I mean, how many times have I mentioned how much I like minimalistic things? Too many times, probably. Same goes for dreamy things. A couple of months ago I showed you a Vogue Australia ed, where Hedvig Palm looked incredibly dreamy. When I saw this Marie Claire editorial with Rosie Tupper, I noticed both eds are quite similar. However, I wanted to show you this one too. Mainly because these models have two very different kinds of beauty, and you can see how well they both work in this kind of spread. And, let's be honest, it's always nice to see beautiful photos.
