New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #1

The first couple of days in NY have been quite intense. Lots of political messages in different collections, which I appreciate. But the main show out of all of them was Calvin Klein.
I love Raf so very much, and I defended him while he was at Dior. However, this is not going to be remembered as my favourite collection. I see what he tried to do, and I think it's a great start. But many things need to be polished. Despite all of that, I do think he's a better fit for CK than he was for Dior. And we finally saw Lulu on the runway.

Los primeros días en NY han sido intensos. Muchos mensajes políticos en diferentes colecciones, lo cual aprecio. Pero el desfile que destaca por encima de todos es Calvin Klein.
Adoro a Raf, y le defendí continuamente cuando estaba en Dior. Sin embargo, esta no va a ser recordada como mi colección favorita. Veo lo que intenta hacer, y lo considero un gran comienzo. Pero hay muchas cosas que se deben pulir. Pese a esto que acabo de decir, creo que pega mucho más en CK de lo que pegaba en Dior. Y al fin vimos a Lulu en la pasarela.

Blast from the past: Vogue USA December 1992, "Grunge & glory"

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. However, it's hard to find scans or videos of that time. This editorial has been scanned by kelles , at TFS forum. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason. And I thought I could tell you about my favourite outfits for the night, and while I was looking at the looks, I thought I would do a little countdown.  Ayer fue el primer lunes de Mayor, y eso solo puede significar una cosa...la gala del MET.
