Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Milan fashion week is over, and the action starts today in Paris. Last stop of this crazy month, and I'm very much looking forward to certain shows. Today should be a quiet day, with the exception of YSL at the end of day 1.

But it's time for me to talk about four last shows seen in Milan.

La semana de la moda de Milán ya ha terminado, y la acción empieza hoy en París. Última parada en este mes de locos, y tengo muchas (pero que muchas) ganas de ver según que desfiles. Hoy es un día tranquilito, con la excepción de YSL al final del día. 

Pero ahora lo que toca es que os hable de cuatro últimos desfiles de Milán.

  -Salvatore Ferragamo:

This is just one of my favourite brands, but I was aware that the designer change could affect that favoritism. It didn't really, because this collection is as close to flawless as it gets.

It might not be the most exciting one, because it's quite classic and safe, but it's so well made and beautiful. I love it.

Esta es una de mis marcas favoritas, pero sabía que el que cambiasen el diseñador podía afectar a mis favoritismos. En absoluto, porque esta colección es prácticamente perfecta.

Puede que no sea la más excitante, porque es más clásica y va más a lo seguro, pero las piezas están tan bien hechas y son tan bonitas. Me encanta.

  -Giorgio Armani:

I'm noticing a lot of criticism towards this collection. The truth is that it's not as beautiful as his collections usually are, but it reflects the origins of the brand. And I always like that.

Estoy notando muchas críticas hacía esta colección. Cierto es que no es tan bonita como suelen ser sus colecciones, pero refleja los orígenes de la marca. Y siempre me gustan esos detalles.

  -Marni:

Well, this was a surprise. Marni is one of those brands that has a very defined aesthetic, one that the brand is known for, so it's strange to see them trying something new. Not a bad kind of strange, though.

I understand changing the designer might result in this but...it is strange. I don't really know how to feel.

Bueno, esto fue una sorpresa. Marni es una de esas marcas que tiene una estética muy definida, por la que la marca es conocida, y es extraño verles hacer algo nuevo. No extraño en un sentido negativo.

Entiendo que cambiar de diseñador resulta en cosas como esta, pero...es extraño. No se como sentirme al respecto.

  -Trussardi:

This is usually a show that I enjoy. And this time was no different. Again, maybe not the most exciting, but beautiful nonetheless. 

Este suele ser un desfile que me gusta, y esta vez no ha sido diferente. Una vez más repito que a lo mejor no es el más apasionante, pero no por ello deja de ser bonito.
