London Fashion Week FW 18.19: Burberry February Show

Burberry is one of those brands that are famous enough to be known by people who are not interested in fashion. Same for its aesthetic. But now thar Christopher Bailey is no longer going to design for them, will it change?

I have been following fashion shows for eleven years now, and I feel like I have a very specific image in my head when it comes to Burberry. I liked some shows more than others, but it was a constant in my fashion life. 
Most designers just create a collection that shows their best work from their time on whichever brand, but this time it was different. It was nice to see a designer taking a bit of a risk on his final collection. 
By the colours, it's also easy to see the tribute to the LGBT+ community, which is also wonderful to see. 


Burberry es una de esas marcas tan famosas que incluso la gente que no sigue el mundo de la moda en absoluto la conoce. Y su estética es muy reconocible también. Pero ahora que Christopher Bailey ya no va a diseñar para la marca, ¿cambiará?

Llevo ya 11 años viendo desfiles, y por ello tengo una imagen muy específica de lo que es Burberry es mi cabeza. Hubo desfiles que me gustaron más que otros, pero ha sido una constante en mi vida modil.
La mayoría de diseñadores crean una colección de despedida llena de las piezas más famosas que han creado durante el tiempo que estuvieron trabajando para cualquier marca, pero esta vez vimos algo diferente. Me ha gustado ver a un diseñador que se arriesga. Y viendo los colores, es claro el homenaje a las comunidad LGBT+, lo cual siempre es bienvenido.

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason.
