Elsa Hosk for Vogue Spain Beauty (March '18)


The word underrated (and its antonym) can have different meanings for different people. That's why, when I say that I consider Elsa to be an underrated model, many tell me that I'm wrong. 
Yes, she is more famous than most and has many followers and is an Angel, ...but, she hasn't been given the same opportunities as other. 

If you see which shows the VS Angels walk for during fashion week, you'll see that Elsa is usually on smaller shows, while Taylor or Romee walk for Versace and Chanel. And the same issue is present on her print work.
Elsa is not a bad print model, at all. She actually has incredible editorials in her portfolio. But many just see her as a sexy VS angel, and assume she lacks versatility. So basically, she's underrated because the fashion professionals don't value her enough.

Vogue Spain has seen that potential, though. She's been featured in a couple of beauty stories for the magazine, and this last one they created for the March issue is incredible.

La palabra infravalorado (y su antónimo) puede tener diferentes significados, según a quien preguntes. Por eso cuando digo que considero que Elsa está infravalorada, mucha gente me dice que me equivoco.
Si, es más famosa que la mayoría y tiene seguidores y es un ángel, ...pero no se le han dado las mismas oportunidades que al resto.

Si os fijáis en que desfiles hacen los ángeles de VS durante el fashion month, veréis que Elsa suele desfilar para marcas mejores, mientras Taylor o Romee desfilan para Versace y Chanel. Y encontramos el mismo problema en los editoriales. 
Elsa no es nada mala en fotografía. De hecho tiene unos editoriales muy buenos en su portfolio. Pero muchos la ven como la modelo sexy de VS, y asumen que no tiene versatilidad alguna. Así que es infravalorada por todos los profesionales de la industria que no la valoran como merece.

Vogue España si ha visto ese potencial. Ha tenido un par de historias de belleza en su revista, y esta última del número de Marzo es increíble.

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. However, it's hard to find scans or videos of that time. This editorial has been scanned by kelles , at TFS forum. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason.
