UK Vogue June 2016: 100th anniversary, Kate Middleton

First things first: Happy Birthday, British Vogue!
You may know already that UK Vogue has been celebrating its 100th anniversary for a while. Specially if you live in London (or the UK, I guess) like myself. They've spent a lot of money on advertising.

Everyone expected something big, and something big we got. Kate had never posed for a fashion magazine before. So, getting that exclusive is massive. And being able to keep it a secret for over 3 months is even more impressive.
I'm not a monarchy person (I'm a republican in the Spanish meaning of the word, not the American), but we're not here to talk about politics, are we? So I'll just judge this cover in an artistic way, and I like it. 
The stylism, the location, the smile, ...they got it all right. They didn't try to make her look like someone she's not, which is definetely the way to go.

And the whole issue is a collectors issue, really. We have the best British models on it, we have some archive content, ...it's just what an anniversary issue should be.
3.99 pounds now...only the fashion Gods know how much it'll be worth in 10/20 years. Fashion history.

Empecemos con educación el día: ¡Feliz cumpleaños, Vogue Reino Unido!
Puede que ya sepáis que la edición británica de Vogue lleva celebrando su 100ª aniversario hace tiempo. Sobre todo si habéis venido a Londres o si vivís aquí como yo. Han gastado mucho dinero en publicidad.

Todo el mundo esperaba algo grande, y algo grande hemos recibido. Kate nunca había posado para una revista de moda, así que conseguir esta exclusiva es una pasada. Y ser capaces de mantenerlo en secreto durante 3 meses es aún más impresionante.
No soy una persona monárquica (soy republicana en el sentido español de la palabra, no el americano), pero no estamos aquí para hablar de política. Por suerte para vosotros.
Así que juzgaré esta portada de manera artística: me gusta. El estilismo, la localización, la sonrisa, ...lo han hecho todo bien. No intentaron que pareciese alguien que no es, y ese era el punto más importante.

Y todo el número es de colección, en serio. Tenemos a las mejores modelos británicas en el, tenemos mucho archivo de la revista, ...es como deberían ser los números de aniversario.

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason. And I thought I could tell you about my favourite outfits for the night, and while I was looking at the looks, I thought I would do a little countdown.  Ayer fue el primer lunes de Mayor, y eso solo puede significar una cosa...la gala del MET.
