The Edit by Net-A-Porter February: Cameron Russell by Victor Demarchelier


The fashion industry is full of inspiring people, and that includes models. 
You know he saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you" and so does Cameron. But she also knows that doesn't mean you just have to be quiet and do nothing, even if you think something is not fair. That's what she started with her TED talk (that I will link at the end of this post) and what she has kept on doing since then. 
The latest example is this interview for The Edit.

Many criticize her for doing this and many applaud her. I'm happy someone is speaking up and hopefully more models and other professionals (like James Scully) will do the same in the future.

La industria de la moda esta llena de gente que nos inspira, y eso incluye a las modelos.
Ya conocéis el dicho "no muerdas la mano que te da de comer", y Cameron también lo conoce. Pero también sabe que eso no quiere decir que tengas que callarte antes algo que te parece injusto. Esa es la batalla que empezó con su discurso para TED (link al final de la entrada) y lo que ha seguido haciendo desde entonces.
El último ejemplo es esta entrevista para The Edit. 

Muchos la critican por ello, y otros muchos la aplauden. A  mi me alegra que alguien este contando este lado de la historia, y ojalá que más modelos y profesionales de este mundo (como James Scully) se unan a ella en el futuro.

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. However, it's hard to find scans or videos of that time. This editorial has been scanned by kelles , at TFS forum. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason. And I thought I could tell you about my favourite outfits for the night, and while I was looking at the looks, I thought I would do a little countdown.  Ayer fue el primer lunes de Mayor, y eso solo puede significar una cosa...la gala del MET.
