Jennifer Lawrence's style + Hunger Games review

Mockingjay Part 1 premiere, London

The final movie from the "Hunger Games" trilogy (there are 4 movies, though) is about to be released, and I thought it was a good time to talk about the star of the franchise.

I'm planning on going to the London premiere. If any of you are going to be around as well, let me know. That's why I thought it would be interesting to analyze Jennifer's looks for the 3 previous premieres that took place in the UK.

I thought she wore Dior for all those occasions, since she has a contract with the brand. Not only is she the face of their accessories ads, but she's also the face of their beauty campaign. I bet you've seen her Dior Addict ad everywhere. You know, #shinedontbeshy
But, actually, she wore Ralph Lauren for the first premiere.

La última película de la trilogía de los "Juegos del hambre" (en realidad son 4 películas) está a punto de ser estrenada, y me parece que es el momento de hablar de la estrella de la franquicia.

Estoy planeando ir a la premiere de Londres. Si alguno de vosotros va a ir, decídmelo. Por eso pensé que sería interesante analizar el estilo de Jennifer en las 3 premieres anteriores que hubo en el Reino Unido.

Pensé que había vestido de Dior en todas, debido a su contrato. No solo es la imagen de sus campañas de accesorios, sino que también lo es de sus campañas de belleza. Supongo que estaréis hartos de ver sus anuncios para Dior Addict. Ya sabéis, #shinedontbeshy
Pero resulta que el vestido que llevó en la primera premiere es de Ralph Lauren.

• 2012: for the first premiere, they opted for a younger and more daring look. She had long hair back then, and I feel like they made it part of the outfit. Young, sparkly and even sexy. It's a custom gown, so there's no runway pic to compare.

          Para la primera premiere, optaron por un look más juvenil y atrevido. Entonces tenía el pelo 

          largo, e hicieron que fuera parte del look. Juvenil, con brilli brilli e incluso sexy. Lo hicieron
          especialmente para este evento, así que no hay foto de pasarela con que comparlo.

• 2013: this time they dressed her with a couture dress. It's more serious and elegant, but still sexy. I mean, look at the back.

          Esta vez la vistieron con un traje de alta costura. Es más serio y elegante, pero sigue siendo 

          sexy. Mirad la espalda si no me creéis.

• 2014: and last, but not least, her look for last year's premiere. It's the most elegant out of the 3, and it has some lovely shapes and volumes. My favourite dress out of the 3. However, keeping in mind this is a young/adult franchise, I think the most appropiate look was the one she wore in 2013. I couldn't find a runway picture, because I think they changed the dress slightly to make it more unique for the event.

          Por último, pero no por ello menos importante, su look del año pasado. Es el más elegante de 

          todos, con una preciosa silueta y mucho volumen. Mi favorito de los 3. Sin embargo, teniendo 

          en cuenta el público de esta franquicia, creo que el más apropiado es el de 2013. No he 

          encontrado una foto de pasarela, porque creo que han cambiado el vestido original para que 

          sea más único para este evento.

This is a spoiler free review. First, I want to show you my books, because they're stunning.

No va a haber ningún spoiler en esta reseña. Primero de todo, enseñaros mis libros porque son preciosos.

But, what matters is the content, right? Well, I have to say I recommend the books. I've read lots of young/adult distopian books (and I want more, so let me know you're favourites), but this one is different. The world built in these books is very complex, yet it's nicely explained by the author. That obviously makes reading the books easier.

They're not a light read, though. But if you read them before watching the movies, they keep you on edge all the time. But that's the beauty of reading, is it not?

They're very political too, which is what I like the most. I think this is a great way to introduce some political concepts to teenagers.

I personally didn't like the ending, but that's because of how much I dislike one of the caracthers. But that's a very personal thing.

Pero, lo que importa es el contenido, ¿verdad? Bueno, diré que recomiendo estos libros. He leído muchos libros de mundos distópicos (y quiero más, así que decidme cuales son vuestros favoritos), pero estos son diferentes. El mundo que han construido en ellos es muy complejo, pero está bien explicado. Eso hace más fácil la lectura.

Pero no es una lectura ligera. Sin embargo, al leer los libros antes de ver la película estáis en una tensión constante, sintiendo que no podéis dejar de leer. Pero esa es la belleza que tiene la lectura.

También son bastante políticos los libros, lo cual me encanta. Creo que es una buena manera de introducir ciertos conceptos de la política a los adolescentes.

Personalmente, no estoy contenta con el final. Pero es porque odio a uno de los personajes. Totalmente personal.
