The unexpected happened...Michael Kors used new models for his campaigns!! I know, I know. Groundbreaking!!
It's strange not to see Karmen there, though.

Se me hará raro no ver a Karmen en las fotos.


Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2016: Vanessa Moody by Mario Testino

Well, you know I don't like Vanessa but, to be honest, it's not her fault this time.
Michael Kors' ads are always the same, and changing the model isn't enough. Changing the photographer, however...the answer might be there.
So yeah, not a good campaign.





Bueno, ya sabéis que no me gusta Vanessa pero, siendo sinceros, no es su culpa esta vez.
Las campañas de Michael Kors siempre son iguales y cambiar a la modelo no es suficiente. Cambiar al fotógrafo...puede que ahí esté la respuesta.
Así que resumo diciendo que no es una buena campaña.


MICHAEL Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2016: Grace Hartzel & Aneta Pajak by Mario Testino

Is this campaign more of the same? Well, probably. However, it does feel fresher and slightly different. Both Aneta and Grace bring something new to the brand, and I really enjoy that.
These pictures sell me that happy luxurious lifestyle, but in a young way.
I know Michael Kors likes to use the same models for several seasons, and he should really use these two the next couple of seasons. He can ditch Vanessa, though.






¿Es esta campaña más de lo mismo? Probablemente. Pero sin embargo, tiene una frescura especial y me resulta algo diferente. Tanto Aneta como Grace aportan algo nuevo a la marca, y me gusta ese aporte.
Estas fotos me venden esa vida feliz y de lujo, pero de una manera más juvenil.
Se que a Michael Kors le gusta usar a las misma modelos durante mucho tiempo, y de verdad que debería usar a estas dos durante las próximas temporadas. A Vanessa no hace falta que la vuelva a llamar.

I was 3 in 1992, and I couldn't care less about fashion.As a 90's kid, I know who all the supermodels are because I saw them on the tv very often. But then again, it wasn't until 2007 that I started to love fashion, so I don't really know much about fashion during the 90's. That makes me quite sad, since it was such a great moment fashion wise. However, it's hard to find scans or videos of that time. This editorial has been scanned by kelles , at TFS forum. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching tv and I found a fashion documentarie on Sky arts. The documentarie is called "In Vogue: the editor's eye". You can watch it on youtube (I'll link the video in this post) if you want to. I really recommend it because, even if it was filmed in 2012, it's something that you need to watch if you really like fashion. Lots of iconic pictures are shown in this documentarie. Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon April 2018: Wrap up!

The readathon is over! And it honestly was a lot of fun. I hadn't been reading too much lately, and it was great to be able to dedicate one day to just that.  Now let me tell you about the 546 pages I read. El maratón de lectura ha terminado. Y la verdad que lo disfruté mucho. Últimamente no había tenido tiempo para leer, y me encantó poder dedicar un día a hacer solo eso. Ahora dejadme que os cuente que me parecen las 546 páginas que leí.   -"We should all be feminists" & "Dear Ijeawele, A feminist manifesto in fifteen suggestions", by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I gave 5 stars to both of these books. It was the first two I read, and I completely loved them.  I liked "We should all be feminists" a bit less, since it was more of general message. It made me think a lot, but I find "Dear Ijeawele..." to be more of my kind of message. As a feminist, I enjoyed both, but I found one more complete than the other. Highly rec...
