Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Alexandra Micu, star of the runway season

Imagen
Chloé S/S 2018 How do you define being the star of the season? I've said many times that, for me, that is impacting people more than the rest. That's why I've called Birgit Kos a runway star in the past, and also why I'm calling Alexandra Micu this season's star. Even though she skipped both NY and London. Alexandra's debut was as a exclusive for Louis Vuitton in the FW 16.17 season. After that, she has done other shows but was still very exclusive (last season, she was a worldwide exclusive for LV). And she's only done campaigns for LV, so I'm looking forward to seeing her in other ads. Being so exclusive can mean two things: 1) By the time you do a full season no one cares about you anymore, or 2) By the time you decide to do a full season, most brands are desperate to have you on their show. Guess which one happened to her? She hasn't walked every single show thrown at her like Cara Taylor, but has only been in top shows. It...

Fall/Winter 16.17 campaigns: Moschino, Roberto Cavalli & Salvatore Ferragamo

My gif (Video source: Ferragamo's yt channel) I'm back with more campaigns. I'm going to try to finish talking about them before the shows start. And today I want to talk about 3 Italian brands that couldn't be more different. I'm going to be playing favourites today, by the way. Ya estoy de vuelta con más campañas. Voy a intentar terminar de hablar de ellas antes de que empiecen los desfiles.  Y hoy os quiero hablar de 3 marcas italianas que no podrían ser más diferentes. Moschino Fall/Winter 16.17: Raquel Zimmermann, Stella Tennant, Anja Rubik & Anna Cleveland by Steven Meisel Well, Meisel did it once again. He really is Jeremy's savior, because only Steven could make these clothes look decent. Every season I complain about how awful the clothes are, and every season I have to say how Meisel made the collection look like it really is fashion. A lot of people have complained about how the models are overdoing it on this ad but, ...

When the season began, everyone thought Gigi was going to get most campaigns. Well...she only got two. Lexi, however, got 8 (so far) and it's closely followed by last season's campaign queen Grace Hartzel (#teamGrace) and Julia Nobis, both with 5. How did that happen? Well, having Meisel on your side helps. I mean, almost half of her campaigns this season were shot by Meisel. And 95% of her Vogue covers are VI covers shot by him. So yeah, he finds her fascinating while I don't like her at all. What about the campaigns she's in? Let's talk about them. And I also wanted to add that the other campaigns she got are Marc Jacobs, Diesel Black Gold, Givenchy and a Prada perfume contract.

Fall/Winter 15.16 campaigns: Moschino & Roberto Cavalli

Today I'm going to talk about my least favourite kind of campaign: campaigns with celebrities. Tell me if you like these ads, or if they annoy you as much as they annoy me. Hoy voy a hablar del tipo de campañas que menos me gusta: campañas con famosos. Contadme si os gustan o si os molestan tanto como a mi. Moschino Fall/Winter 15.16: Katy Perry by Inez & Vinoodh The collection was as bad as the previous ones, but Meisel made his clothes look like HC pieces. Damn, he's a genius! But I guess he laughed in Jeremy's face when he asked thim to shoot with Katy Perry. She's not the kind of celeb he usually works with. Or maybe nobody even asked Meisel. I don't know what happened (obviously), but I like to imagine Meisel laughing at Jeremy. I'm weird. So, we have Katy and I&V...ant the result is quite bad. They made the clothes look tackier than they already are. Bad campaign. La colección fue tan mala como l...
