Put on a Chic face

Usually, when I write the title of a post, I just say what the post is about in a very simple way. Like I did today, for example. However, sometimes I feel like going for a funny title but I don't because I don't want to confuse you.  So, even though it says "Glamour January ...", on my brain it says "Alessandra Ambrosio, the underrated angel". And you may think: how can a VS angel be underrated? I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. First of all, she can be underrated because she's been misstreated by the brand multiple times. But also because the fashion world rarely gives her the chance to prove how versatile she can be. She's being considered a sexy model since day 1 pretty much. And, I mean, she can't really complain because she made a lot of money during her career thanks to being considered sexy. Also, those decisions were made by her and her agency. But I can complain. I'm not sure I've said this before, but Gilles Bensimon is one of my favourite photographers. His beach shoots are the best I've seen. He knows how to direct the models so they look flawless. Some photographers work with the best models, yet the result is not as good as one would expect. Gilles, however, can make an average model look like a top. Gilles + Alessandra = match made in heaven. Ale already knows how to pose to make her body look perfect, and Gilles knows how to catch those poses. It's like they were born to work together. This shoot in incredibly gorgeous. The location is beautiful, the styling is on point, ...and the most important thing is that both the model and the photographer know what they're doing. And that shows in the photos. The whole spread has a vintage vibe, like it was made a couple of decades ago, and I enjoy it.
