Put on a Chic face

Bonjour everyone! And welcome to Paris. PFW has been quite intense so far, so let's talk about it. The main events happened at the Dior and the YSL (YES! Yves is back) shows, and my feelings are quite mixed with both shows. Vaccarello's YSL is pretty similar to Hedi's SLP, but I kind of like it better. It might be the name, though. And Dior was gorgeous, because it was very Valentino. I love Maria Grazia's work for Valentino more than I love life, but I expected something a bit different. It still is a gorgeous collection, but I wanted it to be more personal. We'll see what happens in the future. ¡Bonjour! Y bienvenidos a París. On Saturday, I talked about an YSL perfume. Today, I want to talk about their clothing line. As you may know, Hedi left a couple of months ago and Vaccarello is the new designer for the brand. There have been so many changes in fashion lately, it's actually confusing. Don't you agree? With Vaccarello, I have mixed feelings. I don't like what he does for his own brand, but I did like his work for Versus. It makes me sad to see him leaving that brand, and I don't think he's the right person for YSL. He'll probably call it SLP as well, and he will just follow Hedi's path.  What have they done to create more hype? They've released teasers. The all feature new faces and they'll be released today on social media. So stay tuned for that.   -Anthony Vaccarello: When I saw the first two outfits, I got really excited. Then I saw the rest of the collection was more of the same, and my excitement died. Cuando vi los dos primeros pases, me emocioné. Luego vi el resto de la colección y me di cuenta de que era más de lo mismo. Como podéis comprender, ahí murió mi emoción.   - Dries Van Noten: If I had money, I'd buy many things from this brand. It suits my style, but I get that it may not be everyone's cup of tea. However, I won't be purchasing anything from this collection. And that doesn't mean it's not a good collection, but it doesn't have that something that their collections used to have. Beautiful pieces but a weak collection. Si tuviera dinero, compraría muchas piezas de esta marca. Es muy de mi estilo, pero entiendo que no guste a todo el mundo.   -Anthony Vaccarello: Well, you know...I've never been his fan. And this collection won't be the one to change my mind. The first couple of outfits look very similar to Versace's collection. And the rest is just...the same thing we've seen a hundred times. But I do like Grace's second outfit. Bueno, ya sabéis que no soy gran fan suya. Y esta colección no es la que me hará cambiar de opinión.  Los primeros pases son muy similares a la colección de Versace. Y el resto es...pues lo de siempre. I mean, you know I adore him. The only thing I didn't like is the prints. The rest is just amazing.
