Karlie Kloss, newest ambassador for Estée Lauder

Imagen
Estée Lauder is known for hiring some of the biggest names for their campaigns. Now Karlie is part of that iconic list of names. On the video created to announce these news (which I love), Karlie says that it has been a dream of hers working for Estée Lauder. I actually remember an interview she did when she was a new face saying that she wanted to work for Marc Jacobs, Prada and Juicy Couture. She did all of those things, and now it seems she's crossing another one out of her bucket list. Not bad! Karlie is a great spokesperson, which makes her perfect for any brand. And I look forward to seeing her campaigns on my favourite beauty place on earth...the beauty area at Selfridges.

Karlie Kloss at the "Good Girl" (Carolina Herrera) event in London

Imagen
A couple of weeks ago, Karlie Kloss visited London to promote "Good Girl", the CH fragance she's the face of. I was fairly surprised to see it still wasn't out in the UK and it made me want to go and try it. I took a look at the notes and it confused me a litte. The main notes seem to be almond and coffee, but the notes mentioned on press notes are jasmine, nard and cacao. Add lily, sandalwood and vanilla and you get your very own Good Girl. According to CH and Karlie herself, this fragance shows a woman's strenght and her duality. I think that is a beautiful concept and very modern as well. Gone are the times when women could only be soft and sensitive. A woman can be soft and tough, feminine and masculine, ...she can be whatever she wants to be. It's a very strong message and getting a feminine, strong and intelligent women like Karlie to promote it makes all the sense. The name of the fragance and their motto is also super fitting. "It...

Models and their youtube channels: Mariana Zaragoza

Imagen
We usually talk about how important social media is nowadays for a model. Just a few can make it to the very top without millions of followers and models are aware of that. As sad as it is, since talent should be the main skill a model needs to do her job, it is a reality. And that is why some models try to become more known, either on instagram or on youtube. Karlie Kloss' channel is obviously the most popular, but other models have one too. And that's what I wanted to you about today. Mariana has walked for brands such as Prada or Dior, and on her last video she shows us some backstage action from the Chanel Cruise show. She also speaks Spanish, which is kind of new when it comes to models as well. If you want me to find more models with youtube channels, let me know! Solemos hablar de la importancia de las redes sociales en el día a día de las modelos. Solo unas pocas pueden llegar a lo más alto sin tener muchos seguidores, y las modelos son conscientes de eso. ...

Streetstyle: Karlie Kloss

Imagen
Saturday...it's been a long week! That's why I wanted to do a lighter post today for both our sake's. And yesterday, I saw these pictures of Karlie Kloss and fell in love with her outfit. Karlie and I have very different styles, so I may like something on her while I think that I'll never wear that. In this case, I love what she's wearing, and I can totally see myself wearing the same outfit. It really is a simple look, but perfect for this time of the year. All of sudden you're sweating, and the next minute you're freezing.  The only thing that I would change is the length of the trousers, since I feel like that shorter cut doesn't go well with ankle boots. It makes your legs look slightly shorter, which obviously isn't a concern for Karlie since her legs are like 2 meters long ;)  But I do like how tight the bottom part of the look is, while the top part is oversize. Nice way to play with volumes.  The bright lip combined with a s...

#tbt: Karlie Kloss for Uk Vogue May '12

Imagen
Karlie and British Vogue have always produced good editorials. For some reason, she seems to fit more this British version than she does the American, and we all know where she is from.  One of my all time favourite editorials from her is this one by A. Pennetta for British Vogue. It's called "An American in Paris", like the musical, and it was done during the HC season in 2012. It feels like ages ago. I love how casual it is, and the outtakes are amazing too.  "An American in Paris" Ph: Angelo Pennetta Outtakes: Karlie y el Vogue británico siempre han producido buenos editoriales.

Karlie Kloss for Adidas

Imagen
While I was in Spain during the Christmas holidays, I went for walks pretty much every single day. I usually love doing this to stay active and because it clears my mind in a way. However, it didn't really do that while I was there. I usually brainstorm while I walk, but that didn't really happen in Spain and that's one of the reason why I wasn't active online.  Last Saturday I went for another walk, this time in Central London and I did got inspire by a few things. The first one? Karlie ;) When I walked past the Adidas store in Oxford Street, all I could see was Karlie. You didn't see me complaining. They usually have massive pictures of people like Gareth Bale so...yeah, they improved.  I actually stopped to take a picture, the one you can see at the beggining of the post, for my friend Verónica. I've mentioned her in the past, but just know that I'll mention her everytime I mention Karlie ;)  http://justkarliekloss.tumblr.com/ And I could h...
