#tbt: Taylor Hill for Alexandre Vauthier S/S 2017

Imagen
For today's throwback, I've got two favourites working together: Taylor Hill and Alexandre Vauthier. I hate to admit that his last two collections for HC have been slightly disappointing, since they were a bit too over the top for my taste. What I always liked from Vauthier was how good he was at making effortlessly sexy clothes. He normally makes a show for the big HC collections, but just releases a lookbook to present us the RTW collections.  One of my favourites has to be the one for the S/S 2017 season, featuring Taylor Hill. On it we can see the effortless sexiness I already mentioned. It's very chic too, but more tamed that the HC collections, of course. And Taylor wears the clothes beautifully. Every single picture inspires me.

#tbt: Karen Elson for Vogue Italia December 2006

Imagen
I saw this image a couple of weeks ago, I don't remember where. But I fell in love immediately. Karen Elson has been on the cover of Italian Vogue 20 times, and covered this edition 3 times in 2006. This December cover is my favourite out of those 3 she got in 2006, and probably my favourite overall. I'll need to find every single one and see if any inspire me more.  The name of the story is "Fashion Fetish and Fantasy", shot by Steven Meisel. And Karen has the perfect look for it, and for anything really, because she's too gorgeous. I love discovering images I never saw before. The magic of fashion!

#tbt: Taylor Hill for Topshop #blogmasday7

Imagen
Back when this campaign came out, I featured it on my blog. And that was before I became Taylor's number 1 fan. Since that day, I've watched the videos that were also part of the campaign a couple of times. And it was those videos that made me fall in love with the ad. Nowadays, we are used to getting different kinds of visual material with each campaign, and they do make a huge difference.

#tbt: The Edit by Net-a-Porter January 2017: Kirin D. by Raf Stahelin

Imagen
Kirin is the kind of model you see everywhere, but you don't really see her. She ends up being a runway filler and once casting directors find a new filler, she is likely to fade and disappear. It kind of is happening already. But I do like her look. And I think it is a shame she is not getting more print work to show whether she is good enough or not.  And while checking her work, I managed to find this lovely editorial she did for The Edit. It features some gorgeous Alaïa dresses from his SS 17 collection, and I adore the way she is modelling them. Let's hope she doesn't fade completely before we get to see her full potential.
