Put on a Chic face

I wasn't able to write much about PFW because of the flu that attacked me, but I didn't want to skip this beauty look. It's a good one. We never really see simple looks at the Chanel show, which is always exciting. It's something else to look forward to, not just the clothes. This particular look has various elements that I love: the messy bun, the golden tones and the glitter. It's a bit more subtle that previous looks, but still catches your attention immediately. No pude escribir mucho sobre la PFW por la gripe que me atacó, pero no quise pasar por alto este look de belleza.  Nunca solemos ver looks simples en Chanel, lo cual es positivo. Es algo más que anticipamos, aparte de la ropa. Este look en particular tiene varios elementos que adoro: el moño despeinado, los tonos dorados y la purpurina. Es un poco más sutil de lo normal, pero aún así llama la atención.

There were three big shows yesterday (Max Mara, Prada & Fendi), and all three collections were a dream. But what I really want to show today is the make-up used for two of those shows. Pero lo que quería mostraros os es el maquillaje usado para dos de esos desfiles.   -Max Mara: Starting the day with Max Mara was great, and the beauty created for the show was one of the reasons. There two looks that are so me, I actually got comments from people saying that I was their muse. I have weird friends. One of those looks was a very flawless face with pretty much nothing on the eyes, cheeks, etc...but a very strong hot pink lip. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with that kind of look. The second one was a black smokey eye that, paired with the hair style, gave us a strong rock vibe. And I always appreciate those. Empezar el día con Max Mara fue g...

You may not know this (why would you?) but I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to horror movies. I like thrillers and not too scary films, but I hate psychological horror and gore. That means I have never watched "The Ring" and it also means that the tv trailer used to scare me quite a bit.  And here comes McQueen now giving the models a "The Ring-y" look to show me it can actually be quite a good Halloween costume. I don't really do Halloween but, I just got a haircut and can't be Wednesday Adams (AGAIN!) unless I use extentions.  Halloween really is the main reason why I wanted to share this with all of you, since you may want to be looking for a still scary, but also quite flattering look. Puede que no sepáis esto (¿por qué ibais a saberlo?, pero soy un poco cobardica en lo que a películas de miedo se refiere. Me gustan los suspenses y las pelis que no dan mucho medio, pero odio las que son de terror psicológico y con mucho gore...

I did like the collection but, once again, what really caught my eye was the beauty look. Mainly because of how simple it is, but at the same time it is a statement look. And absolutely perfect for summer, with a very fresh face and the bold matte lip. I know I'm copying this look on Sunday...I've got a match ;) The hair is quite special too. If you look at the braids closely, you'll notice that they're not done (if I'm not wrong) the classic way, but changing the direction of the braid. Actually, I do that when I'm only doing two braids or a side braid, and I like the effect a lot. There are some hair accessories too, that remind us to previous collections. It's not a secret that Greece and its history fascinates me. But their influence in fashion and beauty are something I love as well. I always say that I want my wedding dress to be inspired by Grecian fashion, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this collection. But I won't be talking about the clothes today. Today is the day after the MET Gala. Ideally, I'll be doing a post about my favourite looks from the night. Ideally...in reality, I'm sitting at a cricket match loving life. But I will do said post for the weekend, so stay tuned for it. Today, I'm featuring on this blog post Lancôme and Taylor Hill. I feel like a broken record, but this is the ultimate dream team. I'm really into all the different campaigns and videos (mainly the videos) that Taylor is doing for the brand. It really makes me want to buy those products, and that's what she is supposed to do as a spokesperson so...well done, Tay Tay! The latest beauty launch is a mascara, which is one of my favourite make-up products. I love big eyelashes that make my eyes pop, and this one promises just that.
