"Unstoppable", by Maria Sharapova #blogmasday6

September 12th was a key date for me this year. That was the day that Maria Sharapova's book came out, and I obviously devoured it in less than a day. I also listened to the audiobook, which is narrated by Maria herself, and loved it. I'm so used to her voice, it was a super relaxing way of "reading". As I fan, I knew about most of the things she mentions on the book. Some I didn't know for sure, but I suspected (like her crush on Ferrero). But other things were new to me. She really went into details and showed the world how things really were. I've always known why she is the way she is and acts the way she acts. Wanna know that too? Read her book ;) It's perfect for both fans and detractors. But mainly, it's the best present she could give to her dad. El 12 de septiembre fue una fecha clave para mi este año. Fue el día en que salió a la venta el libro de Maria Sharapova, el cual devoré en menos de un día. También escuché el au...

Maria Sharapova for Vanity Fair Spain & US Vogue

Today I woke up excited about opening the front door and getting the newspaper. I always like reading the news, but this time there was something else in there: The Times Magazine supplement. Note: I'm writing this on Saturday. I normally enjoy the weekend supplements a lot, mainly the fashion one. But this time my whole focus was on this one because Maria Sharapova was on the cover. And that is one of the many covers and interviews I've seen from her lately. Her comeback is approaching, and you know, you have to make sure everyone knows. Anyone who knows me just a little knows Maria is my idol. I've been following her career for 11 years, with all its ups and downs. I do believe I am the way I am right now for many differents reasons, one of them being her. She was a great influence for me in my teenage years and taught me that not only could I dream big, I had to do it.  I don't believe in celebrities having to control their every move just so they ...

Celebritie streetstyle: Maria Sharapova

Imagen
If you know me just a little, you'll know Maria is my idol. And if you know just a little about tennis and what's being going on lately, you'll know this hasn't been an easy year.  But this year has also shown how she's more than just a tennis player. The management behind her is absolutely brilliant, and one of the things that management has done to help with her image is increasing the number of paparazzi who follow her. And if you're followed often, you need to look good...that's where the stylist comes into the action. What I mean by all of this, is that all of a sudden we got tons of pictures of her where we could see different outfits. And that means a streetstyle post had to be done. How could I not take this chance? ;) Look 1 Look 2 Look 3 Si me conocéis un poco, sabréis que Maria es mi ídolo. Y si sabéis solo un poco de tenis y de lo que ha pasado últimamente, sabréis que este año no ha sido uno sencillo. ...

Maria Sharapova wearing Jay Ahr after winning Roland Garros

Imagen
As you may already know, I'm a big Sharapova fan. She's my favourite sports player, celebritie, blondie, .... ;) I just adore her. I did a blog post talking about her style a long time ago ( http://putonachicface.blogspot.com.es/2013/04/celebritie-style-maria-sharapova.html ) , where I just posted a bunch of pictures showing her outfits. This time I want to talk about an specific event. You may not know this (if you follow me on twitter, you definetely know it =P ), but she won the French Open (Roland Garros) on Saturday. This was the second time she won it, which made me cry a lot xD I'm an emotional fan. After winning an important tournament, like this one, players do a photoshoot with their trophies. It's really cool to see the one they do in Paris, because they do it next to the Eiffel Tower and that makes everything special. Two years ago Maria wore a simple, yet beautiful, dress for this shooting. It was more on the conservative/cute side. This time she wen...

Celebritie style: Maria Sharapova.

Imagen
I think it was 3 months ago when I said I would like to do an entry about Sharapova's style, but then I didn't have time. I thought campaigns and fashion weeks were more important, but now that I don't have a lot to talk about, I think it is the perfect moment to do it. I've always been a crazy Sharapova fan, because she's an amazing tennis player, but also because she has that celebritie thing, which I find very funny. One day she's at the Australian Open, and two weeks later she's at the Oscars. I'm not someone who follows celebrities that are just celebrities, because I find them boring. I'm more into following models, or sports people like Maria. I've always love her style both in and off-court, because she manages to look chic even when she's playing. She said a lot of times that she works with Nike on the design of her tournament outfits, and they need to know what she's gonna wear at, for example, Indian Wells, a year before she...
