Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2017: Performers (Rumors) & General update

Imagen
Because of how busy I am, I' wrote this before anything was confirmed and hoped they will confirm it before today. Sadly, the whole VSFS is in a very chaotic place right now. Different models have been denied a working visa and won't be doing the show and the same thing seems to be happening with singers. Slightly surreal to see this happening in 2017, but oh well... So, we seem to know now that Katy Perry is officially banned from performing in China, but we still have 3 performers rumoured to do the show. As I want to at least give you some sort of feedback on the performers, I'll just give you my opinion about them. Do not quote me on anything, because again, it's not official. When I do my review about the show, I'll talk about the performers more than usual, to compensate for the lack of info on today's post.

Vogue covers, May 2016

UK Vogue May 2016: Kate Moss by Craig McDean Kate for UK Vogue...unexpected!! (Sarcasm alert). Next month's issue is their 100th anniversary issue, and they managed to get the Duchess on the cover. Not bad. Casi nada. Vogue Germany May 2016: Gigi Hadid by Camilla Akrans When I read the words "Gigi by Camilla", I expected something very different. This definetely isn't Gigi's best cover. And the editorial isn't very special either. Vogue Russia May 2016: Karlie Kloss by Mariano Vivanco As I told you last month, Karlie is on the cover. The preview ...

Vogue covers November 2015

UK Vogue November 2015: Léa Seydoux by Craig McDean When I saw this cover I few months ago, I stared at the picture like a crazy person. I LOVE Léa. She's totally my woman crush, and she looks flawless on this cover. I don't usually like celebs on covers, but this is my exception. ADORO a Léa. Vogue Germany November 2015: Victoria Beckham by Boo George Umm...what is this? I guess I'm back to not liking celebs on covers. But honestly, she looks really bad in this pictures. I saw it in person and it just looks bad. Vogue Spain November 2015: Catherine McNeil by Ezra Petron...

Klossy: Karlie Kloss' youtube channel

My gif (Video source: Karlie's channel) We have the Caras, the Kendalls and the Gigis, who are being called supermodels just because they have lots of fans/followers. But the real supermodel is Karlie Kloss. She's probably the last model who managed to get to top level without having a famous family. I'm not saying that makes her better than the rest, but it does feel more legit. I hope you understand what I mean. In order to be a supermodel, you need to be popular between fashion addicts, but also between regular people who don't really care about fashion. Becoming a Victoria's Secret angel helped her a lot, and being Taylor Swift's friend finished the deal. A beauty contract with a brand like L'oreal (whose tv adverts can be watched several times a day) didn't hurt ;) She has the Vogue covers, the commercial contracts, her own brand of cookies (or should I say "kookies"?), she's going to start university soon, she's d...

Vogue USA March 2015: Taylor Swift & Karlie Kloss by Mikael Jansson

Two for the show As I said in my "Top 5 shows" post, I have a lot of posts about campaigns written. And I want to post them as soon as possible. That's why I'm not talking about every Vogue cover for March. Also, I feel like it's too late to talk about them. However, I couldn't resist talking about this one. There were lots of rumours about Karlie and Taylor getting a Vogue cover together, and they were true. Taylor was on the cover before, and so was Karlie. But Karlie was part of the models issue, therefore she wasn't alone on that cover. She isn't alone on this one either, but it's not the same. When she shared the cover with Cara and Joan (and the rest of the models who were on the fold-out), they kind of devalued her as a model. She had to share this big honour with models who are not as good as her. Now, she's here as some sort of celebritie. She's obviously not as popular as Taylor, but she's treated like her equa...

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014: runway pictures & video

Imagen
Yesterday was a crazy day, wasn't it? The VSFS was filmed (twice, as usual) and we could finally see all the outfits. Today I wanted to show you all the pictures, and tell you what I thought about the outfits and the models who walked each segment. Obviously, I need to watch the show to have a proper opinion, but I'm so used to catwalk pictures, that I can already tell who nailed it and who was a fail. Fashion superpowers ;) I'll post a Fashion tv video, so you can see some action too. You can find some cute backstage pictures at the end of the post.
