Hello Fashion UK December '16: Kristina Bazan

Imagen
Ph: Carla Guler Blogger, singer, spokesperson for L'oreal and just general badass Kristina Bazan covers this month's issue of Hello Fashion UK. This is a very underrated fashion magazine, by the way. The cover and the rest of the pictures are really lovely and Kristina looks as beautiful as usual. But, the best thing about this is her interview. If you can get your hands on this issue, please do and read the whole interview. The most interesting quote, the we can see on the cover for obvious reasons, is the one where she says "we've made fashion democratic". That was her answer to the debate created by US Vogue when they called fashion blogger's "pathetic". You may agree with Vogue or not, but I still think you'll find his interview interesting. It may even change your mind. Here you have some of the pictures and a video with a short interview. Bloguera, cantante y portavoz de L'oreal. Kristina Bazan está ...

Cannes Festival 2016: Kristina Bazan

Edit by Just Jared Jr. Hello! And welcome to Cannes. I'm doing the same thing I did the last couple of years, which is showing you some of my favourites looks or looks that I think you may want to see. Let's start with a fellow blogger, who is much more than that. Kristina Bazan has been featured in this blog in the past, because I genuinely love her.  For these two premières, Kristina and the L'oreal team picked two very different outfits. On the first one, we can see a dark Elie Saab paired with dark eyes. However, the rest of the look is very natural. She looks amazing. For the second one, the outfit is a bit more risky. This two pieces Alberta Ferretti is not you average red carpet look, but it still looks amazing on her. The hair and make-up is more intense and classic. She looks like an actress. I also wanted to tell you that Kristina is more than just a blogger and an influencer, since she's also a singer. Music is her passion and I'm ver...

Vogue covers, January 2016

Imagen
Last year was strange, cover wise. Hopefully, 2016 will be different, since it makes me sad to see big magazines losing their identity (sorry, Italian Vogue). There are some January covers that makes us think that everything is going to be alright. Fingers crossed. Vogue UK January 2016: Gigi Hadid by Patrick Demarchelier When I saw this cover 2/3 months ago, I thought it was lovely. Now that I have the magazine, I can tell that the ed is quite lovely as well. The interview, however...I can't stand anything Gigi says these days. Guess why? But it's a great cover anyway. Cuando vi esta portada hace 2/3 meses, pensé que era muy bonita. Ahora que tengo la revista, he podido comprobar qu...

B/Vloggers on covers: Tanya Burr, Kristina Bazan, ...

When Tanya's cover for Glamour came out, my friend Verónica (  http://justkarliekloss.tumblr.com/  ) suggested I could talk about it here. And then I wondered how I was going to do that. Even if I'm talking about one picture, I kind of need a reason to do it. As Marnie from Girls says: sometimes being inside my own head is so exhausting, it makes me want to cry. So, I was thinking about it for a couple of days before I realised I should talk about how bloggers/vloggers are being featured in magazines more and more often. And I'm going to do it by comparing Tanya's cover with Kristina Bazan's covers. Tanya is a youtuber, which means she makes videos. Kris, on the other hand, is a fashion blogger, which means she's more used to having her pictures taken. Also, as a fashion blogger, she's more aware of the fashion trends and she knows how to wear the clothes she has to wear for the photoshoots. I don't mean to be rude but I'm yet to see a beaut...
