Put on a Chic face

As promised, there is a post about the MET Gala. A post where I could feature 20 looks, but that would be too much. I want to focus on three looks that are very different, but that I liked a lot. First, we have Gigi Hadid. When I found out she'll go with Tommy Hilfiger, I thought she was going to wear a very simple dress. Well, the complete opposite happened! She fitted the theme completely, and looked great. Then we have Lily Aldridge. Again, Lily and Ralph Lauren...it's going to be beautiful but boring. I think you can guess by now that it wasn't. While being a bit more simple than Gigi's look, Lily's was also a perfect fit for the Gala. And it also showed that you can fit that theme without looking "crazy", as many people liked to say about the theme. And last but not least, Taylor Hill. Her dress didn't fit the theme at all, but all in all, I loved her look. I really need that eyeshadow in my life! Gigi Hadid, Tommy Hilfiger ...

Elsa Hosk 52 models will walk this year's VSFS show. And I'll do three posts showing you those models, so you can put a name to each face. As always, let's start with the angels and the contracted models. 52 modelos desfilarán en el VSFS de este año. They were stars.  Now we have...14 angels. It's hard for people to memorize all their faces and names. They should cut that number in half. This year, neither Candice nor Behati will be walking.   -Prabal Gurung: Well, it's been a while since the last time I talked about Prabal, hasn't it? And judging by my reaction when I saw all the outfits, the brand has changed a lot in the last couple of seasons. But it's a good change, because I've never liked a Prabal collection as much as I like this one.  It's more mature, but without losing that Prabal touch. I like it. Last year was strange, cover wise. Hopefully, 2016 will be different, since it makes me sad to see big magazines losing their identity (sorry, Italian Vogue). There are some January covers that makes us think that everything is going to be alright. Fingers crossed. El año pasado fue extraño en lo que a portadas se refiere. Ph: Guy Aroch As I said yesterday, today I'm going to talk to you about this year's FB. It's called the "Fireworks" Fantasy Bra, and it's worth 2 million dollars. Lily Aldridge is the model who will wear it on the runway. Most people thought it was going to be Behati the one wearing the FB, and they didn't seem happy about it. She's never been very popular and I don't know why. Marrying a celebritie, losing a lot of weight and becoming a blonde didn't help either. Go figure. However, I think she should have been the one wearing it. But when it comes to VS, the whole deserving thing is usually ignored. If you don't believe me, you can ask Alessandra Ambrosio. But yeah, I really thought it was going to be Behati and I was happy about it. She never was my favourite, but I do like the way she's become a proper angel after being a PINK spokesmodel. To me, she fits the brand really well and I like the different mood she brings. ...

  -Carolina Herrera: This collection is a dream. I'm used to CH's elegance, but this is something else. It is still elegant, but I find it to be a bit younger and girlier. I also think the shapes they used are just ridiculously stunning. I really think this is my favourite Carolina Herrera collection EVER. Big deal. Estoy acostumbrada a la elegancia de CH, pero esto es más que eso. Sigue siendo elegante, pero me resulta más juvenil. Creo que las siluetas utilizadas son perfectas. I was going to talk about this special the day it was released, but that was "Prada day" and, you know, I have priorities ;) Also, it felt kind of weird to be talking about swimsuits and going to the beach in February. Now, it feels more appropiate. This special is actually quite cool, since we get to see the behind the scenes of all those big VS Swim shoots. It's nice to get some interviews with the models as well, since we don't get those too often. PS: Jac is too cute.
