Chanel "Gabrielle" perfume, Kristen Stewart

Imagen
Ph: Karim Sadli Months ago, I wanted to talk about this perfume, but it was on sale. So I decided to wait and I completely forgot about it. During fashion week, there was a really cool pop-up in Bond Street, where people could learn about the fragance and try it. I really wanted to go but it was such a busy time, I couldn't do it. And I forgot about it again. But recently I received a sample and it reminded me that I couldn't avoid talking about this new fragance by Chanel. It's not everyday that they create a new perfume, so it's quite a cool thing to talk about. And it is inspired by the founder of the Chanel brand, who was a revolutionary woman. And, as it is described on the press release for this fragance, quite the rebel. This is why I think Kristen is perfect for the campaign, even if I don't particularly like her. The quote they used for this campaign really make you think: "I decided who I wanted to be and that is who I am". Mad...

Miss Dior "Blooming Bouquet", review

Imagen
This is the latest addition to my already massive perfume collection. I've been a fan of Miss Dior ever since I discovered Maryna Linchuk's ad several years ago. It was just perfect. So quirky, but classy, but slightly sexy, ...it had it all. After that, they signed Natalie, who has been a Dior spokesperson for years and she's been representing all the new scents created for the Miss Dior line. This Blooming Bouquet one is a floral scent, which was quite easy to guess by the name of the perfume. Very lovely, quite natural but still strong enough to last a good amount of hours.

Yves Saint Laurent "Mon Paris" perfume: Crista Cober & Jérémie Laheurte

Imagen
Photo source: nextmodels Everytime a new perfume comes out, I do a happy dance. Well, maybe I only do it in my head...so I don't scare people. Jokes aside, I've said this before but, perfumes are something I am very passionate about. Trying new ones is an experience for me that I enjoy more than I can enjoy trying clothes on or trying new make-up products. This new one is called "Mon Paris", and it's by Yves Saint Laurent. You may know already that there have been more perfumes in this "Paris" line, all by YSL. The scent is floral and I personally love it, but there's nothing more personal than a scent. So I recommend you to go and try it, so you can see if you love it as well. This perfume is exclusive to Selfridge's here in the UK. The campaign is very eye-catching and it features model Crista Cober and actor Jérémie Laheurte. The video was directed by Clément Durou and Pierre Dupaquier. The print campaign was shot by Billy Kidd and...

"CK2" perfume, by Calvin Klein (+ video review)

Imagen
Ph: Ryan McGinley When was the last time I talked about a perfume? I feels like I haven't reviewed one (and its campaign) in ages. I really enjoy this topic so much. If you want me to talk about another perfume or its campaign/tv commercial, let me know. I'll gladly do it. Today I want to share with you my thoughts on this new CK scent. If you watch my videos regularly, you'll know I love it. I'll link that video for those of you who haven't watch it yet. The campaign is kind of similar to the "CK one"/"CK red" ones. Boys and girls together, just being cool like the brand. This tries to show that the perfume is unisex.  To me, most unisex scents are just like a perfume for men, but not as strong. However, this one really suits every gender. It's definetely more masculine than it's feminine, but it's mainly neutral. The scent is really clean and lovely. I've been using it a lot since I got it. But I'm not even ...

Elie Saab "Le Parfum": Toni Garrn by Mario Sorrenti

Imagen
Behind the scenes Last time I wrote about a perfume, it was about Miu Miu's first fragance. I did it mainly because of the great marketing behind the product. Today, I have different reasons. Toni herself is the main reason. She's one of my favourites, therefore it's easy for me to stay updated on what she's doing.  I want to use this post to explain something to you now. If you follow models, photographers or brands on social media, you may get information about what they're shooting. When it comes to a campaign or an editorial, we usually have to wait 2/3 months to see the final pictures. However, when it comes to perfumes or some make-up/hair adverts, we may have to wait 7/8 months. The production behind them is huge, and it takes longer. So, if you see your favourite model shooting for CK, for example, but nothing is released 4 months later, there are two options:   1. The ad was cancelled and reshot with a different model.   2. It's not the...

Roberto Cavalli "Paradiso": Edita Vilkeviciute by Mario Sorrenti

Imagen
I've lost count of how many perfume contracts Edita has. I mean, I can totally see why she gets them, but it's crazy. Take a look at some super famous supermodels, and you'll see they only have 2 or 3 perfume contracts. Edita has got over 10 since she started modelling. Chanel, Calvin Klein, Dior, Bulgari, Versace, Hermès, Viktor & Rolf,... most models dream of getting at least one, while Edita has tons of them. Why? Well, she's absolutely gorgeous. Her beauty is both classic and edgy. She's also very versatile, and her work for Calvin Klein proves it. She can be a lady in one ad, and a super sexy woman in the next. People who doesn't know or care about fashion can look at her ads and say: stunning! I want to smell that perfume. Now it was Roberto Cavalli who hired her. The Cavalli woman is sexy and strong, and those are qualities Edita has. The picture they use for the ad is great, and super eye catching because of the colours and the strength of Edit...

FW 14.15 campaigns: Versace & B. Balenciaga Fragance

Imagen
Last season was a really good one for Anna, and it looks like the FW one is going to be even better. Am I going to complain? Of course not ;) La temporada pasada fue muy buena para Anna, y parece que esta, que es la de OI, va a ser aún mejor. ¿Me quejo? En absoluto ;) Versace FW 14.15: Anna Ewers & Stella Tennant by Mert & Marcus She opened and closed the Versace show in Milan. And I'm really glad she also got the campaign, because nobody fits the collection like she does. But the best thing about this campaign is how amazing it looks. Best Versace campaign in decades!!! I know the concept isn't super original, but it looks too good to complain. I even like Stella, but because she looks more like Erin O'Connor than herself. Great campaign. Anna abrió y cerró el desfile de Versace en Milán. Y estoy super feliz de que se haya llevado la campaña, porque nadie luce esta colección como ella. Pero lo mejor de la campaña e...

Dior Addict SS 14 perfume campaign: The film (with Sasha Luss)

Imagen
I already talked about this campaign (  http://putonachicface.blogspot.com.es/2014/04/dior-addict-ss-14-fluid-stick-perfume.html  ), and I said I'll show you the film once it was out. Well it's already out, and I'm afraid it's as disappointing as the print campaign. I have nothing against Alice in Wonderland, but this is Dior Addict. The word "addict" is pretty self-explanatory, isn't it? The original ads were amazing because they showed that passion, that addiction. They did it in a sexual way, and it doesn't always have to be like that, but it fits the concept of the campaign. Where is the addiction in this film? I don't know. Is she addicted to chasing rabbits? I love Sasha, and that whole "WonDiorland" thing is really cool. BUT it's not the right concept for this campaign. I'll show you the old ads too, so you can compare them. 2002 2014 Ya os he hablado de esta campaña (  http://putonachicface.blogs...
