Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Alexandra Micu, star of the runway season

Imagen
Chloé S/S 2018 How do you define being the star of the season? I've said many times that, for me, that is impacting people more than the rest. That's why I've called Birgit Kos a runway star in the past, and also why I'm calling Alexandra Micu this season's star. Even though she skipped both NY and London. Alexandra's debut was as a exclusive for Louis Vuitton in the FW 16.17 season. After that, she has done other shows but was still very exclusive (last season, she was a worldwide exclusive for LV). And she's only done campaigns for LV, so I'm looking forward to seeing her in other ads. Being so exclusive can mean two things: 1) By the time you do a full season no one cares about you anymore, or 2) By the time you decide to do a full season, most brands are desperate to have you on their show. Guess which one happened to her? She hasn't walked every single show thrown at her like Cara Taylor, but has only been in top shows. It...

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe fashion month is already over.  It's been quite the month. For me personally, it has been great. London Fashion Week felt like home, to be honest. And I got to skip one of the days for something super exciting. These last few days of PFW haven't been as amazing as the first ones, collections wise, but I enjoyed the shows more than last season. My biggest complaint would be that Valentino and Dior are still a bit of a mess, and that hurts my fashion heart.  More in a couple of months 😏😏 ¡El tiempo vuela cuando te lo pasas bien!

Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017: beauty looks

Imagen
My gif (Video source: Dior's yt channel) I usually do 3 of these posts, one after the main 3 fashion weeks. On them I feature about 8/10 looks that caught my attention while I was watching the shows.  I'm going to try to select the same amount, so the post doesn't get too long...but I can't promise anything. NYFW:   -DKNY: Pat McGrath's name may be familiar to many now, since she's selling her own products. There's a lot of hype around that. But fashion people have known her for a while. An absolute sweetheart who deserves all the good things happening to her.  Now she's using the shows she works for to promote her products, whic...

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017: Review #2

My gif (Video source: Kendam's yt channel) Final review of a fashion month that hasn't been the most exciting for me. However, PFW made me fall in love with shows again. Well, sort of... -Valentino: My most anticipated show was Valentino's, since it was Pierpaolo's first solo collection for the brand. I think it's obvious that him and Maria Grazia work best as a team, but that doesn't meant this collection was bad. It's gorgeous but, I feel like something is missing. Though, I'll give him (and her) some time. Proper judgement will come in January with the HC.

Fall/Winter 16.17 campaigns: Coach, Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss & Bottega Veneta

My gif (Video source: Bottega Veneta's yt channel) We still haven't seen all the ads for this season, but it's pretty clear that there are two campaign queens this season: Rianne von Rompaey and Julia Nobis. The campaigns they got (so far) are: Aún no hemos visto todas las campañas de esta temporada, pero está claro que hay dos reinas indiscutibles: Rianne von Rompaey y Julia Nobis. Estas son las campañas que han conseguido (de momento):  -->Rianne: LV (MG), BV (OG), HB (OG), Prada (MG, by Meisel) & Coach (MG, by Meisel)  -->Julia: Dior (OG, by Meisel), Givenchy (MG), Jil Sander (OG) & Valentino (MG, by Meisel) Today, I'm talking about 4 of those 5 major campaigns that Rianne got. She's such a star! Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 16.17: Rianne von Rompaey, Erika Linder, Natalie Westling, Jean Campbell, Selena Gomez, Luisiana Gonzalez & Sor...
