"Daisy Love" by Marc Jacobs (Feat. Kaia Gerber)

Imagen
I have mentioned the perfume "Daisy" by Marc Jacobs in many posts. I have it and love it, and their campaigns have always been really good in my opinion. Kaia Gerber, who is already the face of "Daisy", is joined by Faith Lynch and Aube Jolicoeur for the campaign created for this new version, "Daisy Love". Checking the description and the notes is a bit confusing, but this seems to be quite similar to the original scent. Maybe even better, who knows? I'll have to check it out.

Queen of the campaign season (Part 1): Faretta

Imagen
Now that 95% of the ads are out, let's talk about the two models who killed it during this campaign season. I wanted to also include some honorable mentions for Bella (8 campaigns), Gigi Hadid and Taylor Hill (6 campaigns each) and Freja Beha, Grace Elizabeth & Birgit Kos. They all had outstanding seasons, but they didn't reach neither Faretta's nor the other model's (not telling you yet) level. If you had asked me who I thought will get most campaigns when the shows ended in March, I would have said Faretta. She already scored big campaigns for the SS 17 season, and her runway season was flawless despite skipping NYFW. However, despite getting 8 huge campaigns and working with different photographers, she didn't wowed me once. Her best campaign is probably Zara, the rest...still weak. She has to improve a lot. Zara, by Steven Meisel: Frame, by Erik Torstensson Sacai, by Craig McDean Lanvin, by Paolo Roversi Coach...

Valentino "Donna Acqua" Fragance: Maartje Verhoef

Imagen
Today we are talking about a perfume. Or maybe I should say we're talking about the campaign. I tried to get info about the perfume in general (scent, reason why they created a new version, ...) but I got no answers back, which is disappointing. So I can just talk about what I see, and that is my lovely Maartje scoring a perfume campaign. Maartje and Valentino are a match made in heaven. She's done multiple campaigns for them and this one really seals the deal. Perfume campaigns are a model's dream, and giving her such exposure shows how much the brand likes her.  I can't wait to smell this new perfume! Y veo a ...

Marc Jacobs "Daisy": by Alasdair McLellan

Dilia Martins, Kaia Gerber & Sofia Mechetner Daisy is one of those modern fragances that are already iconic. I own it and I love it because of how unique I think it is.  The campaigns also had a very different touch. Photographed by Jurgen Teller, the images had the aesthetic he is known for and that only he can achieve. That's why I wasn't sure about a new campaign going for the same concept, but not being shot by Teller. And I'm afraid I was right, because this can't be compared to the original campaigns. Also, they used Kaia as their main girl for obvious reasons, and I find her beauty really overrated. She's not as special as her mom, that's for sure. Sofia is ten times prettier and should have been the star. BTS: Daisy es una de esas fragancias modernas que ya es icónica. Yo también la tengo en mi colección y me encanta por lo única que es. Las campañas también tenían un toque diferente. Fotografiadas por Ju...

Spring/Summer 2017 campaigns: Prada, Miu Miu & Valentino

So many campaigns, so little time to talk about all of them. That's why I've decided to do two posts about them (for now), and to just talk about my 6 favourite campaigns of the season. More are going to be released, and I may have to add more to that list of favourites. Prada Spring/Summer 2017: Amanda Murphy, Dylan Fender, Giedre Dukauskaite, Jing Wen, Jonas Gloer, Kiki Willems, Kris Grikaite, Masao Parris, Nimue Smit, Oliver Houlby, Sara Grace Wallerstedt, Saskia de Brauw, Wallette Watson, Wang Hong Yu & Jude Law by Willy Vanderperre I already mentioned how Meisel didn't shoot the Resort campaign for Prada, but seeing that he didn't got the m...

Calvin Klein Jeans Denim Series 2015 : Kendall Jenner & Simon Nessman by Alasdair McLellan #mycalvins

I'm obsessed with Calvin Klein. I'm lucky enough to own a couple of things from the brand, and I adore them. As a fashion lover, I appreciate designer items. Not to show off (I actually like items where the name of the brand can barely be seen), but for the quality and the design. If you value those things too, go to a Calvin Klein store to check their collection. Their CK Jeans line is my favourite, because you get amazing quality without having to spend a fortune. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of highstreet stores like Zara, Mango, ...but it's insane what they do in the UK. I saw a jumpsuit in Mango that was 22 euros in Spain. Do you know how much it costs here in the UK? 27 pounds, which is over 30 euros. Seriously, what the hell?? So, at the end of the day, I'd rather pay 40 pounds for a CK shirt, than 25 pounds for something completely overprice for no reason. Still an H&M fan, though. I assume there are more CK stores in London, but I'v...
