Taylor Hill for Lâncome: Genifique Sensitive campaign

Imagen
Taylor is, without a doubt, the most successful "New Angel". After the great exposure she got walking for VS (and becoming an angel a couple of months later), her career took off. And this is only the beginning. I can see her becoming the most successful model of her generation. I actually mentioned that recently, and someone told me that she still has room for improvement as a model, and I couldn't agree more. I've been following all her work for Lancôme and I do believe this shows how much she has improved in the past year. Her latest ad, which is the one I'm showing you today, is her best. By far. And being so young, she has plenty of time to keep on getting better. Lancôme put a lot of trust on her when they made her their youngest ambassadress. Now they know they made the right choice. Her appeal is obvious to both younger and older costumers. Watch out, Gisele! ;) "Genifique Sensitive", by Mert & Marcus Videos: ...

Vogue USA September 2016: Kendall Jenner by Mert&Marcus

My gif (Video source: Vogue's yt channel) Remember that time when I told you I have alternative titles for each post? If you do, I love you to the moon and back ^^ Anyway, this post could be also titled (is that even a verb?) "Generation K vs Génération Instagirls". If you've seen the Vogue Paris cover for September, you'll know what I mean. To me, the winner is Generation K, and by that I mean Miss Kendall Jenner. Covering the September issue of US Vogue is HUGE. But that doesn't mean the cover and the content in general is good, unfortunately. I like Kendall...there, I said it. You can go all judgy on me now, but I do. And I was happy to find out the Vogue USA rumours were true. I really thought Kendall and Mert&Marcus could create something cool but...I was wrong. The only photographers who seem to be able to get the most out of her are Russell James and I&V.  The cover is kind of growing on me, even though I hate the way her mouth lo...

Fall/Winter 16.17 campaigns: Giorgio Armani & Emporio Armani

My gif (Video source: Armani's yt channel) It's been crazy here lately. By here, I mean my life...you may be having the holidays of your life at the moment. If you are, I'm jealous. But also happy for you.  I also wanted to thank you because the blog has been viewed a lot these last couple of days. It feels nice to see that, specially when you spend a lot of time trying to create content that you guys may like. Again, as I've said many times, your feedback is more than welcome. Anyway, today I have time to organize things and that's what I'm going to do. That basically means writing many blog posts and editing all the videos that I've filmed in the past two weeks. Busy morning. And now I'll stop rambling so we can really talk about campaigns.  La vida por aquí ha sido una locura últimamente. Y cuando digo aquí, me refiero a mi vida en concreto...vosotros puede que estéis viviendo las vacaciones de vuestra vida. Si es así, os envidio. P...

Vogue covers, September issues 2015

Imagen
The biggest issues of the year are here. Are they good enough for September? As usual, some are, some are not. My favourite covers are UK, Russia and Germany. Why? Well, I like UK Vogue as a whole, since it has great editorials on this issue. Russian Vogue is using Natasha once again, but I like the way she looks. And I love Julia Bergshoeff, as you may know, and I think she looks pretty on the cover of German Vogue. Not her best shot, that's for sure, but I like it. Vogue Spain and Vogue Netherlands tried, and I'll give them that. I don't love the covers, but there is something that tells me that I can't hate them either. USA, Paris, ...those are big names, yet they didn't deliver. I mean, is Beyonce still relevant? I don't want to see her on a fashion cover ever again. As for Vogue Paris, I think they should have used this cover for August and the August one (that I've talked about multiple times) for September. Switch and it's all good. Out o...

Fall/Winter 15.16 campaigns: Alberta Ferretti, Jil Sander, Salvatore Ferragamo & Blumarine

Imagen
My gif (Video source: Ferragamo's youtube channel) When you look at these ads, you can totally tell how much italians love fashion. And I love what they design. Cuando vemos estas campañas, podemos ver lo mucho que los italianos adoran la moda. Y a mi me encanta lo que diseñan. Alberta Ferreti Fall/Winter 15.16: Sasha Pivovarova by Peter Lindbergh Sasha's previous campaign for Ferretti (Spring/Summer 2011) didn't impress me much. This one, however, is really beautiful. It's very intense and barroque (which is a trend). Peter's campaigns for the brand are really beautiful. This one is kind of similar to the ones he shot with Mariacarla. He knows how to capture that italian feeling...if that makes any sense. La anterior campaña de Sasha para Ferretti (Primavera/Verano 2011) no me impresionó mucho. Esta, sin embargo, es muy bonita. Es intenta y barroca (lo cual es tendencia). Las campañas de Peter para la marca son realmente bo...

Vogue Paris August 2015: Anna Ewers, Julia Bergshoeff & others...

Everytime I talk about Vogue Paris, I tell you that I'm not a big fan of the magazine. To be honest, I'd rather spend more money and get Vogue Italia, than spend 5 pounds on VP. However, this month's issue made me change my mind. I already talked about the cover, which is stunning. And now I want to talk about the editorials. The cover story, featuring Anna and Mica, is actually pretty bad. Therefore, I won't show you those pictures. But, there are more editorials, and my fave Julia Bergshoeff is in 3 of them. Give her a cover already!! Out of those 3 eds, she shares the spotlight with other models in 2. That makes me feel so bad for those models, since Julia outshines them. She's too gorgeous.  My favourite ed is the one photographed by Gregory Harris, but all of them are really nice. Great issue. I'm glad I could get it =) - "Un dimanche au parc", Julia Bergshoeff by Gregory Harris - ...
