Put on a Chic face

Prada FW 14.15: Mica Arganaraz & Karl Kolbitz by Steven Meisel What a disappointing campaign! It's not like I loved the collection and I was waiting for a super campaign...but this is just too bad. So, we finally have an OG campaign for Prada. And they decide to give that campaign to this Mica girl who doesn't seem to know how to pose. Yeah, it doesn't sound too good. I don't know if they told her to tilt her head like that in EVERY shot, but it looks so bad. It's like a catalogue. No wait, a catalogue model has more poses than Mica does in this campaign.  And, to be honest, the ads' concept is quite good, but the execution is terrible. ¡Qué decepción de campaña! No es que adore la colección y estuviera esperando una super campaña...pero esto es muy malo. Al fin tenemos una chica que se lleva ella sola la campaña de Prada. Y va y deciden darle ese privilegio a esta tal Mica que no parece saber ni como posar. Si, no suena ...

Prada: Amanda Murphy, Cameron Russell, Caroline de Maigret, Catherine McNeil, Christy Turlington, Fei Fei Sun, Freja Beha Erichsen, Kristine Froseth, Malaika Firht, Rachel Williams & Sophia Ahrens by Steven Meisel. I may spend more time crediting the models than doing the actual review xD First of all I have to say this campaign is growing on me, so I may love it even more once I see it on any of the magazines I'll buy. And, that's funny since I hated the first two shots I saw. The reason was I saw Fei Fei's and Amanda's shots first, and I think their shots are hideous. They're not good enough for this campaign.  But then I saw Freja was on it, and that's was crazy. Freja is back and Meisel finally shot her for Prada, after their "problem" a lot of seasons ago. Amazing. So we had a good idea, but bad performers. And all of a sudden we have a good idea, some bad performers, two comebacks (Freja and Cat, funny too because of their story)...
