Campaign season queens S/S 18, Part 2: Vittoria Ceretti (Italy)

Imagen
For the second time in three seasons, we're crowning Vittoria as the campaign queen. The fashion world gets more and more fickle, which makes this achievemente even more impressive.  Vittoria scored a total of 9 blue chip campaigns. Though, if we counted all her Chanel beauty ads individually...the number will increase quite a bit. Great season for her. And since I adore her, you won't see me complaining if she's the queen again next season. Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Alexandra Micu, star of the runway season

Imagen
Chloé S/S 2018 How do you define being the star of the season? I've said many times that, for me, that is impacting people more than the rest. That's why I've called Birgit Kos a runway star in the past, and also why I'm calling Alexandra Micu this season's star. Even though she skipped both NY and London. Alexandra's debut was as a exclusive for Louis Vuitton in the FW 16.17 season. After that, she has done other shows but was still very exclusive (last season, she was a worldwide exclusive for LV). And she's only done campaigns for LV, so I'm looking forward to seeing her in other ads. Being so exclusive can mean two things: 1) By the time you do a full season no one cares about you anymore, or 2) By the time you decide to do a full season, most brands are desperate to have you on their show. Guess which one happened to her? She hasn't walked every single show thrown at her like Cara Taylor, but has only been in top shows. It...

Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Loewe campaign, with Vittoria Ceretti

Imagen
Ever since J.W. Anderson started to work for Loewe, their campaign has been released a couple of days before the show. And this year, they have released something a bit different and special. They also have a campaign where you can actually see the clothes, but what I want to show you is this "Fruits" ad with Vittoria Ceretti. The incredible make-up is courtesy of the queen Pat McGrath, who else? And it is the make up and Vittoria's eyes that are the key of this campaign. Obviously, she's quite restricted because of those (sometimes huge) pieces of fruit in her mouth, yet she manages to express different emotions with her eyes. Basically what a real good model should be able to do. Original and well executed.

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Imagen
Time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe fashion month is already over.  It's been quite the month. For me personally, it has been great. London Fashion Week felt like home, to be honest. And I got to skip one of the days for something super exciting. These last few days of PFW haven't been as amazing as the first ones, collections wise, but I enjoyed the shows more than last season. My biggest complaint would be that Valentino and Dior are still a bit of a mess, and that hurts my fashion heart.  More in a couple of months 😏😏 ¡El tiempo vuela cuando te lo pasas bien!

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 16.17: Review #3

Imagen
Surprise! I haven't had much time to check the shows today. What's new? I'm going to give you an explanation for all of this once the shows are over. But believe me, it annoys me more than it can annoy you. To sum it up, I'll tell you that I liked Loewe. Probably Jonathan's best collection since he started to work for the brand. The cat theme was quite funny too. Dior was cool too. Not every piece has convinced me, but the accessories are to die for. And Isabel Marant was more of the same, but I quite liked that rock and roll theme. Good day in Paris! ¡Sorpresa!

Spring/Summer 2016 campaigns: Loewe & Isabel Marant

Imagen
On my last post, I talked about a "not comeback". Well, I guess it's time to talk about a real comeback: Raquel's. I already talked about her Versace campaign, and now it's time to talk about the other two major campaigns she scored. Isabel Marant Spring/Summer 2016: Raquel Zimmermann by Inez&Vinoodh Well, you know I'm not Marant's fan. I kind of liked the S/S 15 ad with Natasha, but I feel like the next two have been too similar to that one. You can change the model, but that's not enough. The last three campaigns look more like Vogue Paris' editorials.  And that's what I don't like about this brand. They always go for the safest option. They never take risks, and...

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016: Review #3

Hello!! I feel like I'm just making excuses every single day, but I didn't have time to watch the shows today. Mainly because I had too much free time, and I went out to enjoy this sunny day. Also, because I started writing book number 2. I still haven't finished book number 1, but when there is a brainstorm, you can't ignore it. So, let's just say a couple of things about each show, and then I'll let you see how much you like them. Loewe was similar to previous seasons. Jonathan is trying to incorporate his touch, and this new Loewe already feels legit. So he's doing a good job.  Dior was really beautiful. I adore this kind of collection, because Raf is a genius. So soft and dreamy, but very strong too. Marant was very wearable as usual. I don't like her style, but I get why it's popular. And Balenciaga was awful. Thank God Wang is no longer the designer...I didn't like any of his collections for the brand. ¡¡Hola!! Sien...

Spring/Summer 2015 campaigns: Loewe, Dior, Sacai & Diesel Black Gold

Imagen
Julia Nobis, the icon. She's become a supermodel, and I love it. I feel like people either love or hate Julia, and that says a lot about how unique she is. She's some sort of blonde Freja, and... well, you can't please them all. But the truth is that Julia is a great professional, and most photographers and designers adore her. You can like her work or not, but her bookings are impressive. Meisel loves her, and that's why he shot her for the Prada and the Loewe campaigns. I already talked about Prada, but I thought I should mention it. But, Raf also loves her. She got the Dior campaign for the 3rd season in a row. Not bad. And she also got two more campaigns: Diesel Black Gold and Sacai. Queen of the season!!! Let's talk about these four campaigns ;) Julia Nobis, el icono.
