Meet Fran Summers: New face from the UK

Imagen
Fran Summers (England, UK) / Storm Models                        Traditionally, I like to do a special post for my birthday. Not one that is about me, but one about something I really like. This year, it is going to be another "Meet this new face". And it is all about one of my favourites of the moment: Fran Summers. - Who is she? Fran is from Yorkshire, in England. And she started modelling not that long ago. This runway season was her third, and her second one doing only top shows. Last September she had two exclusives: in London (J.W. Anderson) and Milan (Prada); and walked a bunch of top shows in Paris. After that she got 4 campaigns ...

Milan Fashion Week FW 18.19: Max Mara & Prada beauty

Imagen
There were three big shows yesterday (Max Mara, Prada & Fendi), and all three collections were a dream. But what I really want to show today is the make-up used for two of those shows. -Max Mara: Starting the day with Max Mara was great, and the beauty created for the show was one of the reasons. There two looks that are so me, I actually got comments from people saying that I was their muse. I have weird friends. One of those looks was a very flawless face with pretty much nothing on the eyes, cheeks, etc...but a very strong hot pink lip. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with that kind of look. The second one was a black smokey eye that, paired with the hair style, gave us a strong rock vibe. And I always appreciate those.

Fashion Week S/S 2018: Top walker, Kiki Willems

Imagen
My gif (Video source: Jimmy Choo) Before this season began, I told you which models I wanted to see everywhere. On that post, I didn't mention Kiki because I knew she'd be everywhere. She has becomed the best/most booked model of the past 2 years and her CV speaks for itself. Even though she walks less shows nowadays, since she's a more established model, she still walked for 37 designers. That doesn't make it the top walker, since Charlee Fraser walked 50 shows. But Kiki comes number 1 on the Top Shows walked list (tied with He Cong and Léa Julian). Out of those 31 top shows (only 6 from her list are considered as "not top", but we could argue about that), she opened Missoni and DVF and closed Christopher Kane.  What makes her special is the fact that she has being booking those shows for a while now, and casting directors don't get bored of her. On the contrary, they can't get enough! She is what we call a supermodel, who works ver...

Queen of the campaign season (Part 2): Kiki Willems

Imagen
And the queen of the campaign season is....Kiki Willems!! Again! Very proud fan. Some of you may argue that Faretta had a better season despite scoring less campaigns. She had more OG campaigns but, what I value the most here is the fact that Kiki has been on this level for longer than other girls like Faretta or Vitto. Season after season, she keeps on working with the same professionals and scoring big campaigns. This is like her 4th time getting the Marc Jacobs campaign. That's huge. It really shows how hard she works, and how talented she is. Not all campaigns are out, so she might get another CK line but, at 9 campaigns for the FW 17.18 season, she's already the absolute queen: Alberta Ferretti, by Tim Walker Prada "A city of Women", by Willy Vanderperre Sies Marjan, by Theo Wenner Calvin Klein Mainline, by Willy Vanderperre CK Jeans, by Willy Vanderperre Diesel Black Gold, by Collier Schorr Boss Hugo...

Prada beauty resort 2018

Gif's source: Vogue.com Remember when I was so obsessed with Prada that I basically planned my day around the show? I do, but on Sunday I completely forgot about it. Shame on me! I did like the collection but, once again, what really caught my eye was the beauty look. Mainly because of how simple it is, but at the same time it is a statement look. And absolutely perfect for summer, with a very fresh face and the bold matte lip. I know I'm copying this look on Sunday...I've got a match ;) The hair is quite special too. If you look at the braids closely, you'll notice that they're not done (if I'm not wrong) the classic way, but changing the direction of the braid. Actually, I do that when I'm only doing two braids or a side braid, and I like the effect a lot. There are some hair accessories too, that remind us to previous collections. But I'm not too crazy about them.

Vogue Russia May 2017: Kris Grikaite by Ben Weller

Imagen
Monday morning. I look at my diary while I'm drinking my coffee and I see that today I'm supposed to publish a blog post. And I wonder why I completely forgot about it. Well, I guess spending the last three days at the cricket might be the reason. Over 20 hours spent there... So now I'm panicking and not knowing what to write about, because I hate writing things on the same day I publish them. I like planning my every move.  In this kind of moment, I check all the forums I participate in, social media, twitter because the cricket is still on, ...you get it. And that's how I found this new Russian Vogue cover, with Kris Grikaite on the cover. Kris debuted on Prada's SS 17 show and then got the campaign. After that, she walked for them again as a worldwide exclusive and opened the show. As many others, I was wowed by her beauty. However, after six months looking at her work, I'm slightly unimpressed. It's true that she can't take a bad picture...

Fall/Winter 17.18: Beauty looks

Imagen
My gif (Video source: Anna Sui's yt channel) Today, I'm doing one of my favourite posts about fashion week. I still remember when I first got into fashion (TEN YEARS AGO!) and I didn't really know about clothes, but I did know a bit about make-up. I just wanted to try every look I saw, and in a way I still feel that way looking at these pictures. UP :   -Prada: There were different looks on this show, one of them being super natural. But the one that really got my attention was this one with blue and black. Fun, messy, ....
