Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2018: Valentino, Chanel, Dior, ...

Imagen
Another Couture season has ended, and it felt very similar to me to the last few. By that I mean that I was kind of disappointed by most shows, but Valentino arrived and saved the day.  It is not just about creating good collections, it is about understanding HC as a concept. And I think Pierpaolo is really good at that. Another positive surprise was Givenchy. It was Clare's debut on the Couture world, and I have to say that I liked it way more than expected.  In the model department, someone who keeps on capturing my attention is Fran Summers, who walked most shows and opened Valentino. Vittoria and Kiki had yet another great season as well. ...

Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Beauty looks

Imagen
As always, I'm doing a post about the beauty looks that caught my attention during the HC shows. I think you can guess what the next post is going to be about. HAIR :   -Elie Saab: It's not the first time that I talk about hairstyles that involve doing small braids on the hair. It really reminds me to the time when I used to do that, and it kind of makes me want to do it again. -Valentino: I have featured Valentino's beauty looks so many times before...to me, they get it right most of the time. And this hairstyle, paired with a really natural make-up look, is ano...

Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Once you've been part of the fashion week drama, you kind of lose your love for fashion shows. However, everytime HC ends I'm like: Is it over already? I never said I was normal. But it is over, and yesterday was a great day with plenty of amazing shows. Favourite? I don't think I can pick just one, but bits from each show I saw. We also had Chanel two days ago, which disappointed me a little. But I loved Camille as the bride. Ulyana Sergeenko had the best cast and the best make-up of the season. And Vauthier was as sexy as usual.

Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017: Review

Imagen
This was supposed to be a 2 reviews kind of thing. But I just have been like this lately...off and busy. Anyways, with HC it is fairly easy to put everything together in one post. So let's do just that. -Christian Dior & Valentino: I'm talking about these two at the same time for obvious reasons. Judging both these collections and the ones presented in October, I must say that Maria Grazia was the one that gave more personality to the Valentino image created in the last couple of years. However, I still like Valentino more, even if it's a bit different now that Pierpaolo is alone in the designing process. Funny, isn't it? I guess it is mainly because Dior is supposed to be something else. Raf's Dior wasn't too popular because it was different to Galliano...

Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017: Schedule

Imagen
We still have to wait a couple of weeks for the next big fashion month, but before that we always get some shows to fill that gap between seasons. Here you have the HC schedule, so you can see which shows you don't want to miss. As always, I'm really looking forward to seeing Valentino's show.

Haute Couture FW 16.17: Beauty

My gif (Video source: Versace's yt channel) MAKE-UP :   -Alberta Ferretti: Simplest, yet most flattering look. The golden eyeshadow made it a bit more special and super lovely. - Dior: Dior is all about the bold eye make-up these days. And I love it. It's an edgy kind of eyeliner, but I find it quite flattering and not too over the top. And wearable too. Bastante ponible.   -Versace: This time, they created two looks and I love both. The blue shadow is edgy, but still suits the brand in general and this collection in particular. And do I really need to tell you AGAIN about my love for dark/vampy lips? I loved the glitter to...

Haute Couture FW 16.17: Review #2

Busy is my middle name. I wish I had time to talk about each show, but I don't. So, to sum it up: I liked Chanel, Armani was GORGEOUS, Vauthier disappointed me a little, Saab left his comfort zone for a couple of minutes (and I quite liked that) and Valentino was absolute perfection. - Chanel:   -Giorgio Armani Privé:   -Alexandre Vauthier:   -Elie Saab:   -Valentino:

Cannes Festival 2016: Kristina Bazan

Imagen
Edit by Just Jared Jr. Hello! And welcome to Cannes. I'm doing the same thing I did the last couple of years, which is showing you some of my favourites looks or looks that I think you may want to see. Let's start with a fellow blogger, who is much more than that. Kristina Bazan has been featured in this blog in the past, because I genuinely love her.  For these two premières, Kristina and the L'oreal team picked two very different outfits. On the first one, we can see a dark Elie Saab paired with dark eyes. However, the rest of the look is very natural. She looks amazing. For the second one, the outfit is a bit more risky. This two pieces Alberta Ferretti is not you average red carpet look, but it still looks amazing on her. The hair and make-up is more intense and classic. She looks like an actress. I also wanted to tell you that Kristina is more than just a blogger and an influencer, since she's also a singer. Music is her passion and I'm ver...

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 16.17: Review #4

-Mugler: Mugler is all about fantasy. They create a women that doesn't exist in a way, but that it's very powerful at the same time. All that leather...you can't wear that much leather without self-esteem, can you? Same goes for the silhouettes.  This is both cool and strange. I can't see people wearing this clothes, but at the same time, they make you dream. And that's what fashion should be about... -Elie Saab: Sara Sampaio opening a show...it's like the want me to hate the collection. She doesn't have the height and the beauty to...
