Put on a Chic face

I like Daria as a model, but I don't usually like her on the red carpet. I don't even know why. However, this time she looked STUNNING. This gown is made for a princess, and that's how she looked like...a princess. The shape of the dress is beautiful and looks amazing on her. And the colour is perfect for her fair skin, it makes her eyes pop, and it makes a nice contrast with her dark hair. I like her better as a brunette, and I feel like she wouldn't have looked so good if she were still a blonde. The only problem is that I can't find the runway version anywhere (style, vogue, ...), which makes me think that it may have been made specifically for the event. Anyhow, it's an stunning look. This is a great example of someone who doesn't know how to dress properly. In these two premieres, we can see a perfect style and an awful one. The Stella McCartney dress is a joke. You can't wear that to Cannes. And the hair and the shoes are awful too. However, the Ulyana Sergeenko gown is stunning. It suits her, and it fits the theme of the festival. Love the hair as well. El vestido de Stella McCartney es una broma de mal gusto. No puedes vestirse así para Cannes. Y el pelo y los zapatos son también horribles. Sin embargo, el vestido de Ulyana Sergeenko es precioso. La pega mucho, y va acorde con la temática del festival. También me encanta el pelo.

Lily is a red carpet pro. She usually looks stunning, and this time was no exception. Her make-up was flawless and really flattering. And she really knows how to work that dress. I was wondering who designed it, and I was shocked when I saw it is a Saint Laurent Paris dress. Well, they changed it to make it look more Yves Saint Laurent, if you know what I mean ;) The runway version looks tacky, but Lily makes this new dress look expensive. Love it on her!! Today I want to talk about these two looks worn by Miranda Kerr in Cannes. I'm not a fan of any of them, and I'll let you know why. The David Koma outfit is really pretty, but I don't think it suits Miranda that well. Also, the hair is kind of boring. I'd love to see her with a nice updo, so we can see the clothes better. Natasha is a red carpet pro. A couple of years ago she killed it at Cannes. She went to almost 10 events, and looked incredible in all of them. That was her best year. After all those looks, nothing seems to be same. But it's obvious that she knows how to catch people's attention when she's on the red carpet. She nailed it again, wearing this Michael Kors dress. I can't show you the runway picture, because it was specifically made for this event. And we can see that, because it fits really well the glamour of the festival. The make-up and the hair finished this really feminine look that Natasha loves. I talked in my last post about how easy it is for Liya Kebede to look good no matter what she's wearing. And, it's true that Natasha is one of those models who always look good. However, there's a huge thing that makes them different. Liya doesn't need to do much to stand out, whereas Natasha loves to pose so the photographers can take the best...

Liya is one of those models who look good no matter what she's wearing. And right now you may be thinking: well Ana, that's what a model should do...look good all the time. But we all know that's not true. Some models look uncomfortable wearing certain outfits. However, it's easy for Liya. Not only is she insanely pretty (which all models should be, but we also know this isn't always the case), but she also has that poise that makes her pull off any outfit. Last year I talked about a couple of looks I saw in Cannes, and this year I'm going to do the same. Let's start talking about Karlie, as I did in 2014. Karlie has been wearing Versace a lot lately, and she has been walking for the brand the last couple of seasons. She may be getting the campaign even. Who would have thought Karlie could be a Versace girl? When she walks for them, she looks stunning. However, I feel like she never picks the right outfit for the red carpet. This dress is not bad, but it's not incredibly beautiful. And, I know that there are many outfits on that same couture collection that would have looked way better on Karlie. I mean, I like the colour, and it's nice to be able to see those mega long legs. But I still feel like the look is incomplete.
