Chanel FW 18.19: Beauty look from the runway

Imagen
I wasn't able to write much about PFW because of the flu that attacked me, but I didn't want to skip this beauty look. It's a good one. We never really see simple looks at the Chanel show, which is always exciting. It's something else to look forward to, not just the clothes. This particular look has various elements that I love: the messy bun, the golden tones and the glitter. It's a bit more subtle that previous looks, but still catches your attention immediately.

Paris Fashion Week FW 18.19: Dior beauty look

Hello!! It's been a while, hasn't it? Today's excuse is sponsored by everyone who got very nasty viruses into the house and made me sick. It's been a horrible week, but I finally feel better. I have been following the shows, but I couldn't really pay much attention to any of them. So I can't really tell you which collection I liked above the others or anything like that. But I can tell you that I loved the idea behind Dior's make-up for their FW 18.19 show. They were promoting these eyeliners by showing a different look on each girl and they managed to make me try them all...even the yellow! Definetely a cool idea. ¡¡Hola!!

Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2018: Valentino, Chanel, Dior, ...

Imagen
Another Couture season has ended, and it felt very similar to me to the last few. By that I mean that I was kind of disappointed by most shows, but Valentino arrived and saved the day.  It is not just about creating good collections, it is about understanding HC as a concept. And I think Pierpaolo is really good at that. Another positive surprise was Givenchy. It was Clare's debut on the Couture world, and I have to say that I liked it way more than expected.  In the model department, someone who keeps on capturing my attention is Fran Summers, who walked most shows and opened Valentino. Vittoria and Kiki had yet another great season as well. ...

Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Alexander McQueen beauty look

You may not know this (why would you?) but I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to horror movies. I like thrillers and not too scary films, but I hate psychological horror and gore. That means I have never watched "The Ring" and it also means that the tv trailer used to scare me quite a bit.  And here comes McQueen now giving the models a "The Ring-y" look to show me it can actually be quite a good Halloween costume. I don't really do Halloween but, I just got a haircut and can't be Wednesday Adams (AGAIN!) unless I use extentions.  Halloween really is the main reason why I wanted to share this with all of you, since you may want to be looking for a still scary, but also quite flattering look.

Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018: Chloé show

Imagen
There are a few brands this season that have new designers making their debut and Chloé is one of them. I've always raved about Chloé because it is such a lovely brand, really. They make nice clothes and accessories that are easy to love. Actually, the new designer, Natacha Ramsay-Levi, said that Chloé is a kind of fashion that it is easy to understand. And I have to agree with her. If you don't know who Natacha is, just know that she has worked for many years with Nicolas Ghesquière, and you'll understand why this collection looks the way it does.  When you work for so long with a designer and when you learn from that designer, you tend to incorporate things from his/her job into your own. That's not copying at all, it's just normal. However, while I was watching the show, I reached a point when I was like: Too much like LV! Too much! It still is a lovely collection. But I think she needs to keep on working on her own and creating her own personal st...

Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Beauty looks

Imagen
As always, I'm doing a post about the beauty looks that caught my attention during the HC shows. I think you can guess what the next post is going to be about. HAIR :   -Elie Saab: It's not the first time that I talk about hairstyles that involve doing small braids on the hair. It really reminds me to the time when I used to do that, and it kind of makes me want to do it again. -Valentino: I have featured Valentino's beauty looks so many times before...to me, they get it right most of the time. And this hairstyle, paired with a really natural make-up look, is ano...

Haute Couture Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Once you've been part of the fashion week drama, you kind of lose your love for fashion shows. However, everytime HC ends I'm like: Is it over already? I never said I was normal. But it is over, and yesterday was a great day with plenty of amazing shows. Favourite? I don't think I can pick just one, but bits from each show I saw. We also had Chanel two days ago, which disappointed me a little. But I loved Camille as the bride. Ulyana Sergeenko had the best cast and the best make-up of the season. And Vauthier was as sexy as usual.

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #2

Time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe fashion month is already over.  It's been quite the month. For me personally, it has been great. London Fashion Week felt like home, to be honest. And I got to skip one of the days for something super exciting. These last few days of PFW haven't been as amazing as the first ones, collections wise, but I enjoyed the shows more than last season. My biggest complaint would be that Valentino and Dior are still a bit of a mess, and that hurts my fashion heart.  More in a couple of months 😏😏 ¡El tiempo vuela cuando te lo pasas bien!

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 17.18: Review #1

Paris! What a beautiful city full of beautiful shows. I'm in such a good fashion mood lately. And Dries Van Noten helped with that by having the best cast a show could have. The designer has been calling models who have been his muses for the last couple of months. This show was his 100th show and he wanted it to be a show where models who know how to wear his clothes walked. It wasn't just that he casted iconic models, it was that he casted models who fit the brand. Sometimes, we just have shows with it girls who are amazing, but...they may not fit the show as much as other would. For me, this show will forever be an iconic moment and I'm glad I got to watch it as it happened.

Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017: Review

This was supposed to be a 2 reviews kind of thing. But I just have been like this lately...off and busy. Anyways, with HC it is fairly easy to put everything together in one post. So let's do just that. -Christian Dior & Valentino: I'm talking about these two at the same time for obvious reasons. Judging both these collections and the ones presented in October, I must say that Maria Grazia was the one that gave more personality to the Valentino image created in the last couple of years. However, I still like Valentino more, even if it's a bit different now that Pierpaolo is alone in the designing process. Funny, isn't it? I guess it is mainly because Dior is supposed to be something else. Raf's Dior wasn't too popular because it was different to Galliano...

My gif (Video source: Kendam's yt channel) Final review of a fashion month that hasn't been the most exciting for me. However, PFW made me fall in love with shows again. Well, sort of... -Valentino: My most anticipated show was Valentino's, since it was Pierpaolo's first solo collection for the brand. I think it's obvious that him and Maria Grazia work best as a team, but that doesn't meant this collection was bad. It's gorgeous but, I feel like something is missing. Though, I'll give him (and her) some time. Proper judgement will come in January with the HC.

Bonjour everyone! And welcome to Paris. PFW has been quite intense so far, so let's talk about it. The main events happened at the Dior and the YSL (YES! Yves is back) shows, and my feelings are quite mixed with both shows. Vaccarello's YSL is pretty similar to Hedi's SLP, but I kind of like it better. It might be the name, though. And Dior was gorgeous, because it was very Valentino. I love Maria Grazia's work for Valentino more than I love life, but I expected something a bit different. It still is a gorgeous collection, but I wanted it to be more personal. We'll see what happens in the future. ¡Bonjour! Y bienvenidos a París.

Estad atentos ;) MAKE-UP :   -Anthony Vaccarello: For the first big show of the week, they created two different looks: a very natural one and a devilish one. It definetely is an...

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 16.17: Review #7

Fashion week is over, and I can't say I'm sad. It has been a hell of a month, for many reasons. I did enjoy being part of London Fashion Week again and meeting so many amazing people. But I didn't enjoy watching the shows when I was home. I've been really busy and having to write a post everyday felt like a house chore. And I want to enjoy writing for you guys. Anyway, I'll do things differently next season. -Louis Vuitton: Pretty good stuff. I usually like...

First of all, I apologise for not writing a post yesterday. But I just wasn't in the mood. I hope you understand. -Givenchy: As promised on Sunday, I'm talking about the Givenchy collection now. The collection is supossed to have an Egyptian inspiration, but I honestly fail to see it. This brand feels very unispired to me, and it has for a while. Quite disappointing. Bastante decepcionante.   -Stella McCartney: Speaking of unispired...even the cast is. Now the good models walk for Sacai. That says quite a lot about a brand, actually.
