Spring/Summer 2016 campaigns: Chanel & Fendi

My gif (Video source: fashionfad official yt's channel) Chanel & Fendi, Fendi & Chanel... so similar, yet so different. You guys know I like Fendi better. But when it comes to these ads, I'm not sure which one is my favourite. I like Fendi's collection better, but I like the location used for Chanel's ad more. Casting wise...well, Edie opened both Chanel and Fendi, so it was easy to guess she'll be in one of the campaigns. I quite like her for this kind of ad, since her look goes well with the clothes and the background. However, Vanessa is a big fat no. Then we have Mica and Lineisy. After being a Prada exclusive, every brand wanted to hire Lineisy for their show. So it's no surprise to see her booking major campaigns like Chanel and Givenchy. Mica, however...I just don't get her look. She looks awful on the runway, and has 0 versatility in front of the camera. It's quite annoying, actually. But there's a great picture in this ...

Fall/Winter 15.16 campaigns: Dior & Oscar de la Renta

When a new designer starts working for a big brand, like these two, there is a lot of judgement. It's like everyone wants them to mess up, so they can criticize their job. When it comes to Raf (Dior) and Peter (ODLR), I feel like I'm completely alone with my opinions. I'm the minority... because I want to be the minority (insert Green Day's song now). I adore 99% of the things Raf creates, and I was really critical when I talked about Peter's collection. Now that I've seen both campaigns, my opinion hasn't changed. To be honest, Dior's ad is just ok. But I've never been a fan of their campaigns, so it doesn't surprise me. I like Julia as a Dior muse, though.  But ODLR's campaign is wrong in so many ways. It's too soft and perfect. Oscar designed clothes for ...

It's time to talk about campaigns again...wiii!! I really love campaigns, and I also love writing about them. As you may know from previous seasons, I won't talk about every single campaign. I like to talk about most of them, but there are hundreds of ads and I don't have time to write an opinion about every one of them, Also, I'll have to talk about HC soon. Today I wanted to talk to you about two campaigns where the stars are celebrities. I was afraid most campaigns were going to be full of celebs, but it looks like I don't have to be afraid anymore. Let's see what I think about Givenchy & Versace: Toca hablar de campañas otra vez...¡¡wiii!!
