Bella Heathcote for Australian Vogue August '17

Imagen
Fashion can be so beautiful sometimes. It is a like living in a world of fairies, where everyone looks ethereal and you just want to be a princess (or a prince). That is how I felt when I saw this cover for Australian Vogue. They wanted to honor Dior on its anniversary and they couldn't have done a better job. Bella, who I don't really know much about, is a little fairy and Roversi has worked his magic once again.  If I saw this on the newsstands, I would not be able to control myself. I will have to purchase it because this is the kind of images I want in my collection. A dream! "Bella de jour" Ph: Paolo Roversi La moda puede ser tan bella a veces. Es como vivir en un mundo de hadas, donde todo es etéreo y donde solo queremos ser princesas (o príncipes). Así es como me sentí cuando vi esta portada para la edición australiana de Vogue. Quisieron hacer un homenaje a la casa Dior en su aniversario, y lo hicieron increíblemente...

Maartje Verhoef for Vogue Australia May '17

Never leave things for the last minute, NEVER. I did that on Monday. Well, my plan was to write Monday's post on Sunday, but then I got back home late and had some things to do and couldn't write. Also, during that Sunday evening I was informed that all my plans for Monday had changed, which meant I didn't have time to write this post in the morning. And then, by 9 pm I was so tired, I couldn't even think. Adulting is ridiculously boring. But, here we are on Wednesday morning. 7.34 to be precise and I have already worked for a whole hour. Though I have an exciting lunch "date" with friends so...I guess it's worth it. Anyway, the post. God, I love Maartje! And as I always say, she keeps improving as a model. However, I don't only like this ed because of her skills, I do mainly because of the style of editorial it is. I love this kind of minimal, casual looking styling. You only need a gorgeous and talented model like her to make it work. ...

Vogue covers November 2015

UK Vogue November 2015: Léa Seydoux by Craig McDean When I saw this cover I few months ago, I stared at the picture like a crazy person. I LOVE Léa. She's totally my woman crush, and she looks flawless on this cover. I don't usually like celebs on covers, but this is my exception. ADORO a Léa. Vogue Germany November 2015: Victoria Beckham by Boo George Umm...what is this? I guess I'm back to not liking celebs on covers. But honestly, she looks really bad in this pictures. I saw it in person and it just looks bad. Vogue Spain November 2015: Catherine McNeil by Ezra Petron...

Vogue Australia July 2015: Hedvig Palm by Sebastian Kim

Sometimes we see editorials or campaigns with models that don't fit the idea behind those eds or ads at all. And we wonder why they didn't hire someone who does. This time, Vogue Australia hired the right model for their editorial. The whole spread is very dreamy and romantic. Hedvig has that kind of ethereal beauty that makes her perfect for the job. Every picture is, well, dreamy. I can't really find another word to describe it. Really beautiful and kind of autumnal too (don't forget this is an Australian magazine, so it makes sense). Well done, Vogue Australia.

Vogue Covers: June 2015

Vogue UK June 2015: Anna Ewers by Patrick Demarchelier When I moved to the UK, I wasn't too sure about how I was going to like British Vogue. Last month I told you how much I liked the issue with the GoT's girl on the cover. But I didn't know back then that the best thing was going to happen this month. When I saw June's cover with Anna, I couldn't believe it how lucky I was. I would have been happy for her even if I couldn't get my hands on the issue, though. She hasn't been modeling for a long time, but she's managed to be on 3 out of the 4 big Vogue covers (Paris x2, Italia x2 & UK). She's unstoppable, and I love it. It's hard to imagine her getting the cover of US Vogue anytime soon (it's too bad she wasn't on the model issue from last September), but with a career like hers, I can see her getting that cover and many more.

Vogue covers (April 2015)

Vogue México April 2015: Catherine McNeil by James Macari Sporty chic? No thanks. These covers aren't bad, but Cat is not the right model for them. She doesn't have that sporty look. Other models like Karlie or Karmen would have been a better fit. ¿Sporty chic? No gracias. US Vogue April 2015: Serena Williams by Annie Leibovitz While it makes sense to have a tennis player on the cover of the shape issue, I can't understand why they picked Serena. And, they made her look awful. Really, she looks better when she's playing and sweating. Vogue Austra...
