Put on a Chic face

My dear muse Alicia Vikander has been on quite a few magazine covers in the last couple of years. And while that made me happy as a fan, it also saddened me to see how clueless fashion professionals were when it came to working with her. Alicia is no Angelina Jolie, and I'm not just saying that because of Tomb Raider. Her beauty is softer and special, but she's no bombshell. She doesn't need to be one, by the way. But that means that you just can't style her for a cover shoot like you would another Hollywood star. It took Nicholas a while to understand that while dressing her for events (she's under a contract with Louis Vuitton), but he's getting there now. All the credit goes here to Kim Howells, who styled the shoot, and to Rankin for knowing how to direct her to take the best pictures. She's never looked better on a magazine!!
