Put on a Chic face

Last year, I completely forgot about this post I used to write every year. It's a fun one for me, and hopefully a helpful one for you. During the holidays, there are many traditions that people stick to. Some families like to wear matching pyjamas or just matching clothes. Others like to wear costumes related to the festivities. But many just like to dress up a bit.  And then there is New Year's Eve, which is a it like Halloween in a way. It's often seen as the day when we can go crazy fashion wise. The day when no one gets funny looks for dressing like a disco ball. As with everything, people's styles and personalities have to be taken into account. That means there isn't one perfect holiday outfit. NYFW is over. And here I bring you a bunch of shows that took place in the last couple of days. I'll try my hardest to have a post up tomorrow with some beauty looks, but LFW starts tomorrow and I'm going to be very busy. But I'll try!! Se acabó la NYFW. Last week I talked about how it was 10 years ago that I got into fashion. And today I talk about Edita, one of the first models that caught my eye. She has had a very long career and despite slowing down a little, she is still on top of her game. Mainly when we talk about perfume and beauty contracts. I've lost count of how many perfume contracts she has got during those 12 years of career...15? Here I show you her latest, for Michael Kors' newest fragance.  Not surprised about her success, though. Second and final review for NYFW. It has been quite a good week, if I'm honest. I feel like I'm more into fashion than I was last season, and that makes me happy. I hope LFW doesn't kill my vibe ;)  Shows that are worth a mention are ODLR and Proenza Schouler. De la Renta because they have new designers, who I think did a great job. This felt more like the classic ODLR than Copping's ODLR ever did. And Proenza because this was their last show in NY. They're moving to Paris, which is always exciting. I adore this brand and if I could purchase all their clothes, I won't hesitate for a second. This collection was supposed to be all about NY, which is a concept that I fail to understand. But I know I liked it, so it's all good. I also really enjoyed Narciso Rodriguez's show, as usual, and Ralph Lauren's. You can argue that Ralph does the same thing over and over again, but...it's SO pretty! How can I not like it? Segunda y última reseñ...

Se me hará raro no ver a Karmen en las fotos. Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2016: Vanessa Moody by Mario Testino Well, you know I don't like Vanessa but, to be honest, it's not her fault this time. Michael Kors' ads are always the same, and changing the model isn't enough. Changing the photographer, however...the answer might be there. So yeah, not a good campaign. Bueno, ya sabéis que no me gusta Vanessa pero, siendo sinceros, no es su culpa esta vez. Las campañas de Michael Kors siempre son iguales y cambiar a la modelo no es suficiente. Cambiar al fotógrafo...puede que ahí esté la respuesta....

NYFW is over!! And judging by all the beauty looks that I'm going to show you today, it's been great in the beauty department. ¡¡La NYFW ha terminado!! Y juzgando por el número de looks de belleza que os voy a enseñar, podéis ver que ha sido una buena semana en este aspecto. MAKE-UP :   -Nicholas K: I love a statment bold lip. It honestly steals the show. You only need to make sure you have a good base on the rest of the face, and that's it. Easy, quick, stunning. Me encantan los colores fuertes en los labios.
