Queen of the campaign season (Part 1): Faretta

Imagen
Now that 95% of the ads are out, let's talk about the two models who killed it during this campaign season. I wanted to also include some honorable mentions for Bella (8 campaigns), Gigi Hadid and Taylor Hill (6 campaigns each) and Freja Beha, Grace Elizabeth & Birgit Kos. They all had outstanding seasons, but they didn't reach neither Faretta's nor the other model's (not telling you yet) level. If you had asked me who I thought will get most campaigns when the shows ended in March, I would have said Faretta. She already scored big campaigns for the SS 17 season, and her runway season was flawless despite skipping NYFW. However, despite getting 8 huge campaigns and working with different photographers, she didn't wowed me once. Her best campaign is probably Zara, the rest...still weak. She has to improve a lot. Campaign season queens (S/S 17): Kiki Willems

Kiki in 2014 Welcome to part two of queens of the SS 17 campaign season. Today, we're talking about my current fave, Kiki Willems. Kiki's career was a bit different than Vittoria Ceretti's, who I talked about a couple of days ago. Early in her career she got a massive exclusive for SLP, and she also got to open the show and to do the campaign. After that, she could already count with lots of powerful people on her team: Ashley Brokaw, Steven Meisel, Willy V., ... This means she has gotten many opportunities to prove her talent...and believe me, she really is talented.  I mainly love her print work, but she also has tons of personality on the runway. For this season, she scored 10 campaigns, which makes her the model with more campaigns. Total queen ;) Zara, by Steven Meisel Calvin Klein by Appointment, by Willy Vanderperre Calvin Klein Collection, by Willy Vanderperre Calvin Klein Jeans, by Willy Vanderperre Prada, by Wil...

Spring/Summer 2015 campaigns: Loewe, Dior, Sacai & Diesel Black Gold

Imagen
Julia Nobis, the icon. She's become a supermodel, and I love it. I feel like people either love or hate Julia, and that says a lot about how unique she is. She's some sort of blonde Freja, and... well, you can't please them all. But the truth is that Julia is a great professional, and most photographers and designers adore her. You can like her work or not, but her bookings are impressive. Meisel loves her, and that's why he shot her for the Prada and the Loewe campaigns. I already talked about Prada, but I thought I should mention it. But, Raf also loves her. She got the Dior campaign for the 3rd season in a row. Not bad. And she also got two more campaigns: Diesel Black Gold and Sacai. Queen of the season!!! Let's talk about these four campaigns ;) Julia Nobis, el icono. Se ha convertido en una supermodelo, y eso me encanta. Siento que la gente o la quiere o la odia, y eso dice mucho de lo única y especial que es. Es una especie de Fre...
