Put on a Chic face

There were three big shows yesterday (Max Mara, Prada & Fendi), and all three collections were a dream. But what I really want to show today is the make-up used for two of those shows. Ayer hubo 3 desfiles importantes (Max Mara, Prada y Fendi) y las tres colecciones me encantaron. Pero lo que quería mostraros os es el maquillaje usado para dos de esos desfiles.   -Max Mara: Starting the day with Max Mara was great, and the beauty created for the show was one of the reasons. There two looks that are so me, I actually got comments from people saying that I was their muse. I have weird friends. One of those looks was a very flawless face with pretty much nothing on the eyes, cheeks, etc...but a very strong hot pink lip. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with that kind of look. Everyone seems to have an opinion about this Versace show, and I thought I would give you mine as well. My first thought was that I really dislike it when models walk at the same time on the runway. Even the Etro show, where models walked quite close to each other, annoyed me slightly. But this whole 4 models walking at the same time...no, big fat no. I know it is something very personal, but I had to say how much I dislike it. And that leads me to my second complaint: the models. Most models didn't fit the vybe of the show and/or the brand. They mistake walking fast with having a powerful walk and...I don't know, I just didn't enjoy the cast either. The collection was a good mix of old and new, which fits the theme for the show. It is a tribute to Gianni after all. And it is also a crowd pleaser. Well, actually, the entire show is a crowd pleaser. It was done knowing that most people would adore it, but I don't buy into things that easily. Sorry. ...

When you attend a gala like the amfAR gala, you want everyone to look at you. Blanca definetely nailed that, because out of all the looks from this gala, I only care about hers. Very sexy and strong, but not tacky at all. That Blumarine dress was made for her. I really want to see her in more of these events. Cuando vas a una gala como la del amfAR, quieres que todo el mundo te mire. Blanca lo clavó en ese sentido, porque de todos los looks de la noche, yo solo tengo ojos para ella. Muy sexy y con personalidad, pero sin ser vulgar. Ese vestido de Blumarine es perfecto para ella. Quiero verla en más de estos eventos. 

So, as I told you, I'm going to talk about fashion week related things that inspired me in one way or another. And this beauty look from the Alberta Ferretti show inspired me in so many ways. I first saw it on Blanca Padilla's ig stories (which I screenshot for you) and then I saw it on all the official pictures from the show. It was one of the most beautiful looks. It's a silvery smoky eye and Blanca explained to us how to get it. They are obviously using a shadow as a base and they blended to created a soft cat eye effect underneath the glitter that they put on top. Crazy simple and always flattering.  The rest of the face was kept quite simple, but they did try to give the models dewy skin, which looks really good with the wet hair effect they went for. Milan fashion week is over, and the action starts today in Paris. Last stop of this crazy month, and I'm very much looking forward to certain shows. Today should be a quiet day, with the exception of YSL at the end of day 1. But it's time for me to talk about four last shows seen in Milan. La semana de la moda de Milán ya ha terminado, y la acción empieza hoy en París. Última parada en este mes de locos, y tengo muchas (pero que muchas) ganas de ver según que desfiles. Hoy es un día tranquilito, con la excepción de YSL al final del día.  Pero ahora lo que toca es que os hable de cuatro últimos desfiles de Milán.   -Salvatore Ferragamo: This is just one of my favourite brands, but I was aware that the designer change could affect that favoritism. It didn't really, because this collection is as close to flawless as it gets. It might not be the most exciting one, because it's quite classic and safe, but it's so well made and beautiful. I love it. ...

Milan has definetely helped with the whole falling in love again with fashion. 95% of the collections have been stunning, all in their own way. We started the week with Alberta Ferretti and those capes that were just dreamy. Fendi didn't disappoint either (look at Bella's outfit, it's so me), Max Mara had the most gorgeous colours, Bottega was as elegant as ever, Philosophy is still one of my favourite shows in Milan, same for Sportmax, Diesel Black Gold was cool and perfect, ...it's like a dream. And we still have some shows left!! Milan ha ayudado con lo de volver a enamorarme de la moda. El 95% de las colecciones han sido preciosas, cada una a su manera. Empezamos la semana con Alberta Ferretti y esas capas de ensueño. Fendi no decepcionó tampoco (mirad el look de Bella, es muy yo), Max Mara tuvo los colores más bonitos, Bottega fue tan elegante como siempre, Philosophy sigue siendo uno de mis desfiles favoritos en Milán, y lo mismo se aplica para Sportmax, Dies...

Milan is over, Paris started yesterday and here I am eating a muffin. If I were a model, people would say that I starve myself because I lost weight in the last couple of weeks. So I eat muffins. Any tips? But, going back to Milan I want to focus my attention on two shows. Ferragamo is one of my favourites, but I was slightly concerned about the changes that were going to happen on the brand. Happily, the collection was as gorgeous as usual. However, the disappointment came from another direction. I've raved about Philosophy in the last couple of seasons, because those collections were an absolute dream. This one didn't impress me as much as I want it to impress me. Sad times. Milan acabó, París empezó y yo estoy comiéndome una magdalena. Si fuera modelo, la gente diría que me mato a hambre porque he perdido peso en las últimas semanas. Así que como muffins. ¿Algún consejo en cuanto a esto? Pero volvamos a Milán, donde quiero centrarme en dos desfiles. Ferragam...

Milano Milano! Oh gorgeous Milano! One of my favourite cities when it comes to fashion. I haven't been paying attention to the shows because, you know, reasons. But I did check to see whether there was something worth mentioning. Prada was amazing and so was Etro. The rest were...ok. I'll let you judge the rest of the collections. ¡Milano Milano! ¡Bella Milano! Una de mis ciudades favoritas en lo que a moda se refiere. These 3 shows showed us 3 different shades that I really liked.  For Max Mara, some girls wore red lips, but that's not so interesting, is it? ;)  Bottega Veneta  Marni Max Mara Labios oscuros, lo que más me gusta del maquillaje. Well, both Fendi and I disagree. For this show they created a different design on each model, and all of them were amazing. Very artistic and original. Guys, it has been a crazy day today. I've been out during the evening working on my blog like the crazy person I am. But I didn't really pay attention to today's shows. I do love what I've seen from Ferragamo, though.  And now I was going to write a lot about the shows, but I may have had to add a new plaster to my body ( can someone kill me??). It's on my finger and it makes typing quite painful. So, I'll just leave you the videos from today's shows and I won't write much. Sorry, I'm useless.  Chicos, hoy ha sido una locura de día. Hi there! I wanted to apologize for not writing a post yesterday. But, it's been crazy lately. And yesterday I finished working at 11 pm, so I really didn't feel like doing anything blog related. I'm really sorry, but you have to understand that I'm a human and even I have a limit.   -Max Mara: First show of the day. I was dizzy (literally) when I saw it, and it didn't make me feel better. Guess why? So, in the last 3 seasons we got a very classic but sort of sexy collection, then one full of stars, and now this. It doesn't really make sense, and I honestly don't get the collection.
