MET Gala 2018: Best dressed

Imagen
Yesterday, it was the first Monday of May. And that can only mean one thing...the MET Gala. It was also a Bank Holiday here but it's not as important, for whatever reason. And I thought I could tell you about my favourite outfits for the night, and while I was looking at the looks, I thought I would do a little countdown. -Madonna, Jean Paul Gaultier: It says a lot about the rests of the guests, and not in a good way, that Madonna was the only one wearing JPG. Because, you know, he only has hundreds of designs that fit the theme. It's no surprise that Madonna did well yesterday, because this is her look. She's done it a hundred times, and it looks natural on her. Dice mucho del resto de i...

#tbt: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for UK GQ, by Simon Emmet

Imagen
A couple of weeks ago, Rosie posted some throwback pictures on IG and one of them was of this shoot I'm sharing with you today. I couldn't believe it when I saw it is from 2011. Time flies... Something Rosie has always been very good at is being sexy and keeping it classy, even when doing nudes, which is obviously tricky. After seeing certain MET Gala looks, I'm thinking she could give classes to some celebrities.  And this editorial proves my point. She definitely was the best VS angel back in 2010, and it is a shame they couldn't keep her in the family. However, I'm a big fan of her collaboration with M&S. It is more believable than the ones other celebs do, and it just keeps on growing. Back to this ed...just look at the cover. It's such a powerful picture, really. And the rest of the pictures are as good, which makes me miss that Rosie. The good thing is that we can always go back to check these old editorials. "LA Woman" P...

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for UK Elle + new year's resolutions

Imagen
Ph: Jem Mitchell Most popular new year's resolution? Going to the gym or becoming more active. It's a classic, and that's why Rosie and the M&S team have decided to launch their newest line (after seeing how succesful the lingerie and the make-up lines are) in January. It's a sports clothes line and I want everything.  She's also on the cover on the January issue of UK Elle, promoting that kind of healthy and strong beauty. Nowadays, models are pretty much athletes. They work out 4/6 times a week and have a very toned body, like Rosie does. Promoting this kind of look over sickly looks that we've seen in the past is obviously the right thing to do. And seeing how amazing Rosie looks motivates anyone to go to the gym...even me! I'm just so lazy. But I go for walks often, and that counts ;) ¿Cuál es el propósito de año nuevo más popular? Ir al gimnasio o empezar a ser más activos. Es un clásico, y por ello Rosie y el equipo de M...

Fashion inspiration: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Two back-to-back streetstyle posts? Uhh, it must be summer. I do feel like no one wants to read long posts right now. So it's good to have a couple of more simple posts with many pretty pictures, and less rambling (guilty!!). If there is a celebritie that inspires us everyday, that's the lovely Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Her style and my style are really different, yet I love how everything looks good on her. She is one of those women who were born to model clothes. And her hair and make-up are always gorgeous.  Today I'm showing you two looks she wore recently. Both are daytime looks, but with a twist Her stylist is my hero.

Cannes Festival 2016: Barbara Palvin & Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Imagen
People say pink and red don't go well together. Well, we're mixing those two colours today ;) Barbara has been attending this festival for a while, since she's one of the main faces of L'oreal. And I always say she's never going to beat the look worn on her first appearance. However, this year's look gets 2nd place. I feel like they always tend to make her wear black, to make her look thinner (I know, I'm rolling my eyes too). Therefore, I welcome this softer look. I'm in love with Lorenzo Serafini's work for Philosophy, and this dress is just another example. I also adore the hair and make-up. She looks gorgeous. And what about Rosie? God, she's a total queen. She could make me want to wear the ugliest dress in the world, just because it'll look amazing on her. Red seems to be an unpopular colour when it comes to the red carpet, but she makes it work. This Alexandre Vauthier is (like 99% of his designs) sexy but classy. With tha...

UK Vogue June 2016: 100th anniversary, Kate Middleton

Imagen
PH: Josh Olins First things first: Happy Birthday, British Vogue! You may know already that UK Vogue has been celebrating its 100th anniversary for a while. Specially if you live in London (or the UK, I guess) like myself. They've spent a lot of money on advertising. Everyone expected something big, and something big we got. Kate had never posed for a fashion magazine before. So, getting that exclusive is massive. And being able to keep it a secret for over 3 months is even more impressive. I'm not a monarchy person (I'm a republican in the Spanish meaning of the word, not the American), but we're not here to talk about politics, are we? So I'll just judge this cover in an artistic way, and I like it.  The stylism, the location, the smile, ...they got it all right. They didn't try to make her look like someone she's not, which is definetely the way to go. And the whole issue is a collectors issue, really. We have the best British models ...

Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2016: Review #1

Imagen
-Atelier Versace: I honestly think Donatella should let someone else design for the brand. Vaccarello is doing a great job at Versus, and he could do a great job at Versace. Or someone else. Anyone but Donatella. I don't want to be mean, but it's clear that she has run out of ideas. And really, all these designs have an awful cheap and tacky vybe, and that annoys me. I guess that's why she felt the need to hire all these big names for the show...so people won't pay attention to the clothes. I mean, even I got a little distracted. It's nice to see Julia, Behati, Natasha, Rosie, etc...on the runway. Plus some of my younger faves. However, when you have all these models with strong walks, you can't pick Gigi to close the show and lead the finale. For heaven's sake! She was walking in front of Natasha! Also, was it really neccesary to give such a revealing outfit to Roos, who's 16? Really? A bit too low. And it's not the first time thi...
