DKNY "Nectar Love" fragance, Vanessa Axente

Imagen
(Video source: Vanessa's IG account) If you have been following me for a while, you'll know I used to be obsessed with Vanessa. Then her career became too hard for me to understand, but I still follow her. Lately, she's been getting some good perfume contracts for brands like JPG and DKNY. She's the new face of their classic "Be Delicious" and also the face of this new fragance called "Nectar Love". I tried to contact the DK press department to get information about the perfume and the new campaigns, so I could share it with you. However, once again they have been the worst press department I had to work with. Oh well...I still like this new campaign. I don't know if there will be a new print image for the "Be Delicious" ad or if they are going to have a tv commercial for this new perfume. But I'll share with you as much as I know. Cannes Festival '17: Vanessa Axente, "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" premiere

If you have been following my blog for a couple of years, you'll know that I used to be obsessed with Vanessa. She could do no wrong, but I guess she did. Her decisions, or her agency's, led her to disappear a bit from the fashion world, despite being the model of the moment. And, she still works for major brands but...it's not the same. Seeing her in Cannes was a huge surprise, and I think she looked amazing. Obviously, it was Jean Paul Gaultier who took her to the festival with him. And I'm also assuming that her outfit was made for the occasion. It was very different from what we usually see on this red carpet, and I appreciated that effort.

Fall/Winter 16.17 campaigns: Prada & Miu Miu

Imagen
My gif (Video source: Prada's yt channel) Prada and Miu Miu, two brands that go together. However, they couldn't be more different this season. It all started during the shows. Prada used many new faces, as usual, but also many brand favourites. Grand and Bitton took over Miu Miu and...well, most models who were part of that show were models that Ashley never casts. It was uncomfortable to see. But, what happened with the campaigns? Prada Fall/Winter 16.17: Amanda Googe, Amanda Murphy, Angelica Erthal, Caitie Greene, Danielle ...

Prada Pre-Fall '16: Vanessa, Sasha, Vittoria, Fei Fei & Lorena by Meisel

Hello, my name is Ana and I'm a fangirl. It's turning into a problem, really. This campaign made me fangirl over the fact that Vanessa is back on a Prada campaign. I still don't get her career but...this is pretty cool. There are many things I like about this campaign. First, the mood. The collection was quite strong and slightly overwhelming. I didn't expect these images to have so much light and be so "clean". But I love that. This ad focuses the attention on the bags, which I quite like. You can see the product really well, but it's not too in your face. The last thing I like it the casting. I feel like every model has a story. Vanessa and Sasha are two of the ultimate Prada girls. Lorena opened the last show as an exclusive. Fei Fei has always been a Meisel favourite. And Vittoria is finally getting some recognition and proving that hard work pays off.  All in all, it's a great campaign. And it allows me to keep on fangirling. Love t...

WSJ Magazine April 2015: Vanessa Axente by Josh Olins

Now that I'm done talking about campaigns, I'm likely to show you many editorials that have catched my attention in the past few months. Today, I'm talking about this one published on the April issue of WSJ magazine. I rarely talk about this magazine, but this is not the first time one of its editorials has made me swoon. I've neved had one of their issues in my hands, so I can't really tell you anything about the quality of their articles. However, I can tell you they create beautiful eds. This one with Vanessa is the perfect example. It's beautifully minimalistic, but it also has some sort of romantic vybe, which I love. Vanessa's ethereal beauty is perfect for the story, and Josh is the right photographer for it. Look at that close-up and tell me you disagree with me...not going to happen, right? ;) Ahora que he terminado de hablar de campañas, es muy probable que os enseñe muchos editoriales que han captado...

Spring/Summer 2015 campaigns: Calvin Klein ads (Collection, Platinum, Jeans, Jewelry & Watches, White Label)

Today I'm writing my last post about campaigns. As always, it's been a pleasure for me to talk about all these ads. I hope you enjoyed reading about them. Calvin Klein has many lines, and they used great models for all of them. That's why I like to write an entire post dedicated to all these lines and their campaigns. Calvin Klein Collection Spring/Summer 2015: Vanessa Axente & Clark Bockelman by David Sims I guess this is going to be Vanessa's last season as the official CK girl. Her first campaign for the brand will always be my favourite. This season's ad isn't bad. Actually...
