Louis Vuitton handbag campaigns: "Alma" (Monika "Jac" Jagaciak), Daria Strokous, Karlie Kloss, Iris S.) vs "Le Sac" (Gemma Ward).
When I see a new cover, ad or editorial, I try to remember if I've seen something similar before, so I can compare them. Don't ask me why, because I don't know the answer. It's just a habit. And, when I saw this new LV campaign, I knew really well that it was time to remember Gemma (again) and compare her LV campaign with this new one. Gemma's campaign is one of my favourites because of how natural she looks. She's naked, so we just focus our attention on the bag (and of course, on her too). The photoshop is not that bad either and, believe me, that helps. And then we have the extremely photoshopped and unnatural "Alma" ad. The background looks as fake as it is, and that distract us. And the cast can't be more random. I get why they use Daria and Karlie, since they are on a great moment in their careers.
