Put on a Chic face

Another Couture season has ended, and it felt very similar to me to the last few. By that I mean that I was kind of disappointed by most shows, but Valentino arrived and saved the day.  It is not just about creating good collections, it is about understanding HC as a concept. And I think Pierpaolo is really good at that. Another positive surprise was Givenchy. It was Clare's debut on the Couture world, and I have to say that I liked it way more than expected.  In the model department, someone who keeps on capturing my attention is Fran Summers, who walked most shows and opened Valentino. Vittoria and Kiki had yet another great season as well.  Otra temporada de costura ha terminado, y siento que ha sido similar a las últimas. Once you've been part of the fashion week drama, you kind of lose your love for fashion shows. However, everytime HC ends I'm like: Is it over already? I never said I was normal. But it is over, and yesterday was a great day with plenty of amazing shows. Favourite? I don't think I can pick just one, but bits from each show I saw. We also had Chanel two days ago, which disappointed me a little. But I loved Camille as the bride. Ulyana Sergeenko had the best cast and the best make-up of the season. Well, guess who didn't even post a schedule for this season's HC? I really am a mess right now. I've got a cold, a baby kitten who is hurt, I was almost killed by a ball at the cricket on Saturday, ...fashion doesn't seem like a priority. But, abandoning the blog won't make me feel any better. So excuse the messy posts during these next few days. I'll try to get some post-HC posts ready, so I don't struggle as much next week!! Karlie and British Vogue have always produced good editorials. For some reason, she seems to fit more this British version than she does the American, and we all know where she is from.  One of my all time favourite editorials from her is this one by A. Pennetta for British Vogue. It's called "An American in Paris", like the musical, and it was done during the HC season in 2012. It feels like ages ago.
